Kansas Mega Millions winner claims jackpot anonymously
i guess smart people do still exist in this country. glad they chose to remain anonymous, i only wish every state would give you that option.

Kansas Mega Millions winner claims jackpot anonymously
Under the circumstances, the rules should be waved and all three winnings should be allowed to remain anonymous. I'll bet most of the people holding those enormous $10,000 to $100,000 checks get tons of phone calls. I'm satisfied real players split the jackpot and have no reason to know where they live, how many tickets they bought, or how they plan on spending the winnings.

Kansas Mega Millions winner claims jackpot anonymously
There is a way to resolve that Thrifty, ........Move to Kansas, go to work for the lottery commission as an accountant, move up into the admin position and look in the yearly books......Remaining anonymous is a smart move.........You don't get information, you don't get squat and THAT irritates the Nosey Rosey's of the world who believe they have a right to know anything about anyone whenever they want......Ain't freedom wonderful ????

Kansas Mega Millions winner claims jackpot anonymously
anonymous is lame. we should atleast see who won to proove that its real. on a side note, if you live in a small town where the winning ticket was purchased and you lived there for many years an suddenly your house is up for sale, the townspeople will know who the winner was.

20/20 Special Lotto Frenzy: Be Careful What You Wish For
I believe that if you were to purchase a winning ticket in a nearby state that offered you the option to be anonymous, you could adhere to that statute even though you reside in a different state. I had purchased tickets in Maryland and had I been the fortunate ticket holder, the state would have been there to take 7.25% for non-residents...but I would have been granted my privacy.

What did we all learn from the $640M MM jackpot frenzy?
When a frenzy hits all of a sudden everyone is an expert or has a theory to beat the game.
Kind of like when someone's home team is in the World Series and although that person hasn't watched a game all year or can't name two starting players there so willing to share all their baseball 'knowledge'.
The current thread in News about the woman in Maryland who may or may not have won anything is a real lesson. Whether she's telling the truth or not, despite the other people in the pool be

World's biggest lottery jackpot won by three tickets
As I understand it the Maryland winner can claim their winnings anonymously, same goes for the Kansas winner. If they are smart they will remain anonymous and let the Illinois winner get all of the media attention.

World's biggest lottery jackpot won by three tickets
Mega ripoff strikes again! I stopped being disappointed many years ago as it got too predictable. Looks like one will stay anonymous and the other two are probably already rich and will appear 3 months from now once they remembered they bought a ticket. Always lame and predictable. I am betting no one from LP won as usual. I have yet to see anyone jackpot winner from LP. I hope to be the first.
