Lottery Taxation
I say we adopt the Fair Tax which eliminates all income tax, all payroll tax and in turn should wipe out all income taxes on lottery winnings.Check out the article in my blog which gives a rough outline of the proposal and highlights a recently written book which throroughly explains what the Fair Tax will accomplish. https://blogs.lotterypost.com/konane/

$93.4 million Powerball lottery winner is New Mexico's third
The NM Lottery won't just hand you a check for a million bucks on the spot. The article states that already. It usually takes a couple weeks for any state lottery to give you a check for any amount, including small prizes like $600 or $5,000.People who are not only wealthy, but who STAY wealthy, don't go blowing a million bucks for fun money. It's serious business, and should be planned carefully. An early misstep could prove very costly.Besides, what's the rush?

Hoosier Lottery insists computers are better than ball drawings
here's the thing. as the director stated in the article, they can't afford to buy air time for the actual drawing.here's the solution (and i've been saying thids for quite some time). upload the security camera footage (video and audio) to the website, so players can see what exactly goes on during the drawing. if necessary, dub it into a digital tape format.

Ohio man shows reporter $170 million winning lottery ticket
Good story. Its nice when people split it. Instead of one multi millionaire there are going to be six. But wow northeastern Ohio again. That must be one lucky place. I wonder if it was located in the triangle that was talked about in an earlier news article.Brad

Deceased lottery winner's kids finally get their inheritance
The news article isnt very clear on the one concept. I thought that He/she who signs is technically the claimant and therefore gets the winnings. With that said, Im glad to see that a judge has ruled for the family. They each loss more then money can ever make up for... I second the shame on you award for the nephew!

Maryland Lottery a case study in the science of random numbers
I guess I found it confusing, since in the article they mentioned that the guy pressed a button and a window popped up on the PC that said Pick 3 2-8-3 or something like that. That seemed to make it look like the computer was all set up to pop out RNDs for the drawings....

Maryland Lottery a case study in the science of random numbers
He's asking for the source of the Canada story mentioned by atlasshrugged, not the article itself (which is attributed on the Source line). I, too, would be interested in seeing the source atlasshrugged's story.

Maryland Lottery a case study in the science of random numbers
Today when i read this article i learned something new about Maryland's lottery. They way they select the balls and machines for the games is different than i was told by and employee whom worked there years ago. So they must have changed things since then. Buddy Roogow meets with lots of other lottery directors so maybe this technic to pick machines and balls will filter down to other states if they aren't already using this idea.Hopefully states that use computers to pick lottery numbers will
