For some weird reason, in general, ticket sales have simply been higher for Saturday draws than they have been for Wednesday draws - last Wednesday's draw (4/3) sold 5 million less tickets ($10 million less in sales) than last night's draw. As for the PB jackpots, with the increase in ticket sales from California, PB jackpots should be fully funded at around the sixth draw in this run (assuming no winner Saturday or next Wednesday), and at around the fifth draw in future runs.

Perhaps more States joining in will make huge jackpots a thing of the past huge jackpots will never be a thing of the past. If the jackpot keeps being won too often, the lottery officials can always change the matrix. They could go from 35 PB to 40 PB. Most casual lottery players know next to nothing about the lottery and they wouldn't notice the difference.
