Congratulations to the lucky couple. Not only are they lucky, they're smart, too.Remaining anonymous is a very smart thing to do when claiming a life changing jackpot. All states should offer this option.

$50M Lotto winner a no-show for celebration
One of the most important decisions for new winners to make is whether to opt to go public or remain anonymous. If a winner decides to talk publicly about their win, Camelot s PR team will organise a press conference and handle all media interest on their behalf, removing the anxiety that can accompany talking about a big win.
If they have requested to remain anonymous, Camelot takes its obligations and duty of care to protect winners privacy very seriously. Unless a winner agrees to take ful

Connecticut Powerball mystery deepens
Just let winners have to the right to remain anonymous. I can't understand the media's obsession with knowing the identity of lottery winners. We don't have that in Australia, people are happy for the winners and hope it will be their turn next week. People also feel that if they do win, they don't want the media hunting them down.

Connecticut Powerball mystery deepens
These guys are brilliant. They claim they only bought one ticket, and then get one of their friends to claim they're a front for somebody else. 24 hours after coming forward half of the people already think they aren't lottery winners. It's almost as good as being anonymous and as a bonus their business gets millions in free advertising.

Asset managers accused of fronting for real $254M Powerball winner
I don't see anything wrong with the real winner wanting to remain anonymous. setting up a trust fund was a excellent way to go. These gentlemen were only respecting their clients wishes . without their help , the true winner wouldn't have been able to stay out of the limelight, now this person is hassle free. Congrat's to the true winner no matter who you are. The celebration is for the true winner , the violin is for any one who can't understand this wants to keep a private live!

$254M Ct. Powerball jackpot claimed by 3 asset managers
That's exactly what happened. The real winner is a rich client who wants to remain anonymous and, from what I've read, does not plan to give most of the money to charity.

$245 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot increased
After reading about scum bags taking advantage of lottery jackpot winners and the problems they have staying anonymous, I'm wondering if it's wise to play tonight and chance winning such a large jackpot.

U.K. couple watched lottery drawing as they won £101M
I read that same article. There's something dodgy about this couple -they should have remained anonymous - they've open themselves up for a world of hurt. If there are any skeletons in their closet, you can bet the UK newspapers will have them splattered all over the front page for everyone to read. The ex-husband and son couldn't wait to put her on blast! How long do you think it will take others - especially those who are not on that list of 20 - to go after them?
