Unidentified Maryland couple claims $108.8M Powerball jackpot
They should not revel their identity. They live a state that allows winners to remain anonymous, and the should take advantage of that. I wish all states were like that.

Unidentified Maryland couple claims $108.8M Powerball jackpot
I hope, for their sake, they decide to remain anonymous. We are hoping to get an answer soon and are, of course, hoping they agree to publicity, Lottery Communications Director Carole Everett. I am sure the lottery would like them to go public, but the lottery is not concerned about the consequences for the couple. They should get a very good trustworthy lawyer the mediate between them and the lottery. But they would be very unwise to go public, there would be no benefits, only potential problem

Lotto winner shot by deputies wins settlement
I agree, they should let winners remain anonymous, To many people scream cheater cheater if they don't know who won, Wth his money he could have a state of the art security system, going out to confront someone in the middle of the night is plain stupid.

Record EuroMillions winners in hiding after begging avalanche
Wow!!! they should of listen to the last winner he advised them to remain
anonymous....
Meanwhile, a man who won 26.1m in a family syndicate in January 2010, has urged the Euromillions winner to stay anonymous.
George Sturt, 77, who split the money four ways with his three children, said he had had hundreds of begging letters since he went public and regrets doing so now.

Record £161m EuroMillions lottery jackpot claimed
Remain anonymous. Especially in this economy. Most everyone will have his or her hands out. You could just about live off the interest, but I don't know anyone who pays 2% interest.

Changing your name after hitting it big
I live in a decent enough town that it hopefully won't resort to that. I would only feel the need to change my name and bail out if the jackpot I won was super high and caused me to get a lot of unintended media attention. Luckily I live in a state that allows me to be anonymous. May that never change.
