Whoa...I buy my tickets from this clerk...
Imagine my surprise to see a familiar face on the local news tonight.
One of the clerks who sells me tickets all the time was busted for lottery fraud. Lottery investigators presented a scratch off that was worth $10,000. She told them it was a $20 winner, and then tried to collect the $10K later on.
I always check the tickets myself on the self-scanner and never rely on what a clerk says. But still, it was a little surprising to see this woman on the news!
Additionally, it looks like t

is anyone making an income from lottery
Boney526,
You've been doing a great job explaining these issues in your last few posts. It's wearying, isn't it?
When you concluded that Stack47 is ...just here to argue with everything I say., I think you're beginning to understand what's going on here. I went back and looked at his earliest posts - he's been at this for 7 years and there's no sign he'll give it up any time soon. When he says his first LP post questioned why an online site would pay $900 for a straight Pick-3 hit wh

Exactly. Worse NJ Pick3 tonight had the SUM=21. Same SUM from the winning Bad Trip at midday, 7752. This is nothing but an intentional taunt from the NJ Lottery folks. I really think they sh

The Lottery OMG
Stack,
It's quite possible, and maybe even likely, that QuickPick selection programs are looking at the distribution of tickets purchased in real time, purposely trying to increase the chances of a rollover or reduce the chances of multiple winners. However, when it comes to the drawings, I think manipulation is much less likely, especially in ones using mechanical ball machines.
My first post here at LP addressed the issue of the potential for fraud in the PA Raffle games. My questi

It's important I win tonight's lotto
Welp, I just came back to see if you were still online cuz it was taking you so long to show your winning tickets after you said Challenge accepted!!!!!! only to find that you edited your post instead of showing your winning tickets.
And your edited post now asks what my point is.
So regardless that you can't keep your end of the bargain, I'll tell you what my point is.
It's the same as I implied in my previous post and when you were trying to run your lottery pool scam earlier - that

End of game schedule / Top prizes not yet claimed
No source for the information, just my own original research gathered over the years and from talking to people at the lottery. So you can take what I say with a grain of salt and decide for yourself if it makes sense. Nobody knows for sure unless they are on the inside and write a tell all, but so far I have not seen that.
I think you misinterpreted what I said earlier about the ticket batches. Yes, all the top prizes and other prizes are there in the original print order of tickets, and the

Lottery player says scanner not accurate
I believe this guy. The integrity of the Florida lottery is at stake here, and even if there was a slim chance the scanner was defective, there should
be some acknowledgement from the lottery. This is paramont to fraud and deception, let alone the hundreds of thousands their loyal players
could have lost in a very short period of time.
Shame of Florida Lottery for not doing responding with more concern and followup with this customer. In the eyes of the millions who play the

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Original Post by Stack47 I have no idea of the ratio of the how I'll spend my imaginary winnings or how the winner should spend their winnings posts to the realistic posts that actually offer ideas of how it could be possible to win a jackpot, but I'll bet it's huge. A few weeks ago someone actually typed congrats to the winner in a story about welfare fraud. To get an idea, just count the number of congrats to the winner and compare that to the playing strategy posts.
I guess it comes down t

Did I possibly got scammed by storeclerk?
EVERYBODY CHILL OUT!!!!
Todd, I'm extrememly disappointed that you would automatically assume the OP got ripped off. I'd expect that from some of the more paranoid and/or miserable types around here, but I thought you were better than that.
Like Stack47 said, it's just as likely that the clerk was being honest. Given the sheer number of lottery transactions conducted in a day, the amount of fraud that goes on is miniscule. Also, given California's pari-mutuel prize system and having l

PowerBall finally may has the edge it's been seeking
McG...can you explain to me the logic in not being able to void a ticket? It is perfectly acceptable and easily possible to void a daily numbers game...ie...pick 3 and pick 4...
when did it become harder than brain surgery to void an unwanted Jackpot game ticket?
This must be the biggest scam since the dot com bubble...
Even at the racetrack...you have the option of voiding the ticket before the race ends...
when did the computers get so dumb?
are the lottery commission so despera
