My Lotto Magic - by Arlene Meeks
I already told you if you put one of your own numbers in front of the picks they then become a completely different number combination. No problems. Please make me understand why we can't use the same states and keep it simple..... Are the 5 states to remain the same for both contestants the entire time? I don't think you can make this work in secret. Trust but verify is an American tradition. Of course ..... I could always pull out my real Super Duper 26 Serious Secret numbers. We could

Free or Not?
READ THIS TENAJ From a Astro-view,So what's the big problem with projecting your negativity onto others? It may seem like they deserve it. The problem is that you lose because you dis-empower yourself every time you deny your own responsibility and put it on someone else. The good news is you can do that any time, no guilt, no blame, no humiliation. Just release and empower.. Realize it, let it go, move on to something more interesting and uplifting. You don't lose when you encourage and ele

TX Lottery Employee Fired After.....
Corruption, once discovered tends to be spread among multitudes of people. Getting rid of one or two sacrificial lambs does not solve the problem. Enron is a prime example, only five people took down the whole corporation. That would be like saying Scotter Libbey acting in a silo, and associated with no one. Or Hilliary didn't really fire any one in the White House. Remember when you used to believe that mommie could kiss the boo-boo and make the pain go away? Same principle, except, now

Powerball lottery states report brisk sales for huge jackpot
Chewie wrote: >> You stated you have never found a site that mentions actual taxes >> withheld. I gotta ask: Did you do any research at all? I said I've never seen one that mentions the taxes that are due. I very clearly said I've seen ones that refer to the taxes that are withheld. You undertand there's a difference, right? I hear ads for the lottery on the radio a dozen times a day, and I occasionally come across a press release/ad. Why would I bother to make a point of looking for

powerball 16 th draw 180 million
I've figured out the reason it jumped by such a low amount. Powerball has been selling less tickets than they projected this run. If you do the math, the CVO for Saturday's jackpot, had it been won, would have been only $79.3 million (32.6689% of the first four draw sales go to the jackpot, under the old matrix, while 30.28855% of the remaining draw sales go to the jackpot, under the new matrix). For the real draw sales, go to http://www.lottoreport.com/salescomparison.htm . Powerball's pres

Possible winner of $258 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot found
^^^I wonder about that, too. It seems that once you sign that ticket, all anonymity goes out the window. Perhaps you Xerox the holy hell out of your winning ticket before you hand it over in case your lawyer decides to start researching countries with which America has no extradition rights. I don't understand the whole anonymity thing anyway, as most lottery offices will release your name upon winning to prove that the program is legitimate. Is it just to keep exposure to a minimum?

Scratch-off Blocks
I, too work in a Lottery and Tobacco shop and sell lots of packs to customers, as TnTea says, hardly any of them recover half their money back unless the pack happens to have a 500.00 or more winner in it. Jumbo Bucks use to be our biggest pack seller but now alot of people have stopped buying them and only buy whole packs of new release tickets, they think their odds are better for hitting a big ticket, which hasn't happened yet...It would blow your mind to see how much money these people spent

CA MM Cash Value Less Than Other States?
I was reading a press release from the CA Lottery commission (http://www.calottery.com/Media/CurrentQuarter/MEDIAADVISORY_09-03.htm) and it stated that the winner of tonight's MM jackpot would receive about $75 million (before tax withholding) if the cash option is chosen. Yet, the USA Mega site shows the cash option as being about $93 million before taxes. Is CA different or are they just flippantly throwing out the 50% of the jackpot value because that is close to what the CA SLP pays on c

$93.4 million Powerball lottery winner is New Mexico's third
I agree and wouldn't run to submit my winning ticket right away. I'd wait a couple of weeks before even considering making an appearance at lotto headquarters to cash in a larger jackpot ticket.Along with finding a trusted financial guru, here are a number of non-financial things that must also be done before your name is revealed. Making arrangements to change your phone number should be completed before you submit a ticket for verification.Another might be to plan a trip immediately following

Should we feel stupid playing the lotto?
Interesting observations, and though I don't keep track of such things, my gut feel is you're close to the mark. However, If the economy contracts in any meaningful way, a lot of assets, mostly homes, are at risk of needing to be liquidated to meet foreclosures, mightn't translate into the expected release from the consequences of such debt.My ex-wife and I, living in Georgetown, Texas, at the time of the S L/overbuilding debacle in 1986, had a lot of equity in a home we'd agreed to pay roughly
