Do some number combinations have better odds?
Stack, I'm going to respond to you because despite the fact that I think you're ignoring (or misunderstanding) my point - and you seem to disagree with everything I say even if they are obviously true, you've refrained from acting like a child, unlike some other people in here - and you at least respond directly to the points made. It's impossible to beat these games the same way you can beat blackjack by counting cards, or poker by playing solid against worse opponents. By beat I litera

Need some help with algorithm
There would be more than 24 sets each using 30 numbers. For example assume the following sets have 30 numbers in sequence ie an increase of 1 from one number to the next number in sequence. {1...30}, {2...31} {3...32}, {4...33}, {5...34}, {6...35}, {7...36}, {8...37}, {9...38}, {10...39}, {11...40}, {12...41}, {13...42}, {14...43}, {15...44}, {16...45}, {17...46}, {18...47}, {19....48}, {20...49} If you were to pick numbers 1,2,5,17,30,49 these numbers would not be covered by any of the

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Except you won't know until after the drawing whether or not you had any success , so you can't say whether your chances or odds or whatever you want to call it are better. The results are the measurement of success or failure and the odds are the ratio of chances to fail compared to chances to succeed. Without the results, you'll never know if 28 of the 51 numbers that can't possibly be drawn were successfully be illuminated. After successfully illuminating 28 numbers there are 98,280 poss

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Ronnie316, If they are so well informed, why then do they persist in pursuing what they know to be impossible? As I see it, there are 2 ways you might stop perceiving superiority in my posts. I could purposely dumb them down for you, which I'm not comfortable with. Or, you could raise your IQ. Since you are sure you can increase your odds when playing a game based upon random processes, I imagine you could devise a way to do that as well. Give it a shot! --Jimmy4164

The Powerplay Option
Coin Toss, Incredible! Isn't it? I got lucky last night after only letting it run a couple of hours and hit a 5+0. Set to Powerplay, the $2M hit still only pushed the ROI to about $0.90. Without the Powerplay, it was significantly less. Which brings me to my reason for this thread: Obviousely, if you hit a 5+0 or 5+1 within your lifetime you're going to be ahead of the game, but is the higher ROI with Powerplay (without a Jackpot) worth the tradeoff of having less chances at the big on
