Ex-cop told to lie to claim Illinois Lottery prize
Article says: Lottery and all other Revenue Dept. employees are not allowed to play the Lottery. I wonder what their salaries are. But I guess it doesn't matter if they have no urge to play. But if they did, couldn't they just have a close friend/family member buy the ticket for them/claim it also?

Unclaimed $14 M In Jeopardy Of Disappearing
Article says: That mystery caller actually identified the winning ticket, Ahern said. Was it identified by serial number? ... cos mentioning the winning numbers is not ID. Hmm, and she's trying to divorce her husband, so that he won't receive any money. I wonder if that's possible considering she actually won while still married (even though it's unclaimed).

Anyone tested this
From the article selling the lucky coin.Because lotteries are nothing more than games of chance. Winners win because of pure luck. There is no such thing as a winning lottery strategy or system. If you don't believe this, then go down to your local university and ask a mathematics professor.Crossing your legs and fingers when you play is just as effective as having a lucky coin in your pocket.RJOh

MITCH ALBOM: Win the big lottery, spoil the marriage
Yea I was gonna say the relationship was already rocky to begin with, so don't blame the lottery win.Well at least I got a good laugh out of one line in the article: women envision a life unburdened by the fat slobs they've been putting up with for years.
