If I won the $220 million I wouldn't need to play again. Buying more than 1 ticket with the same numbers doesn't increase your chances of winning but if it's the winning numbers you would get more of the prize. Here's an example: The jack pot is $200 million Person A bought 3 of the same ticket and person B bought only 1 like most people would. Person A would get $150 million and Person B will only get $50 million instead of splitting the jack pot evenly.

Sweet Millions has only had 5 or 6 Jackpot winners since the games inception back in Sept. 2009. Not too long after this game was introduced New York added PowerBall to its List of lottery games. Hence, the regular NY Lotto59 has been reduced to 500k increases per drawing when no winner is selected as opposed to the 1 Million increase.The pattern is more people play Power/Mega + Take 5 + pick 3 4 and Sweet Million is not quite in the limelight. Some web-sites that give tips on how to win a lottery say to play less drawings and buy more tickets on the drawing you do play. In other words, if a player spends $40 a month playing a $5.00 NY Lotto ticket twice a week, he should play twice a month instead with 20 tickets in the drawing each time totaling $40 to increase the chance of winning.
