How much is enough ?
I honestly am not picky - I'd take 240 mill, or 15 mill, either amt I can retire on, and so can you.
If I were to win it, I'd put some in investments, spread some across several bank accounts (multiple FDIC insurances then), and I'd put 5-6 mill in a place I can't get to it for 5 years, then I'd spend the rest, and create some charitable trusts.
Then I'm going to enjoy spending the rest of it, and I'm NOT going to babysit it, life is too short, the LAST thing I wa

34 x3=102 spins without #4 in DE midday
The Key Three out digits are actually 4 digits today. 4,2,9,,,and 3
If one of those digits does not come in this afternoon I will have to retire from this hobby .......until I can come up with a different system. That might mean never.
102 spins .... and each time no digit 4 came out ! 34 draws and no digit 4.
Turn off your computers if there are children in the room... they shouldn't see this.... LOL
These are the best for Saturday.

The worst of it all is that no one wants to really define wealthy. By tody's standards $800,000 is just chump change. Its not to me but if you look at the list of the wealthest people in the world not one of them is a millionaire. They are all billionaire's.
Very true. Say you want to retire. If you don't want to work (or don't want to have to work) you need to be able to have enough money socked away so that you can live off 5% of your investments per year. (you shoul

a poll about annuities and lump sum
I disagree. An annuity is the worse option for someone in their 30's.
What do you plan to do after the age of 60 or 64 when your annuity runs out? Most men and women live well into their 80's and 90's. So you would have at least 20 years of no annuity payments.
As a 34 year old lottery winner, did you or would you keep your real job/career and work as hard as you did before the lottery to guarantee promotions and salary increases or did you retire early and take that dream job that doesn

Kansas Powerball lottery winner claims jackpot anonymously
A government worker and grandfather from the Topeka area stepped forward Monday to claim the $15 million Powerball jackpot from Wednesday's drawing.
The man, who under state law can remain anonymous, chose to take a cash lump-sum payment of $7.17 million instead of the entire amount over 29 years. After taxes, he took home a little more than $5 million.
I'm now referring to my life as BP (Before Powerball) and AP (After Powerball), he said. Last Tuesday I was worried about how I was goi

Lottery winners: beware the phone
Many of these callers will be known by the winners or will be legitimate organizations, yet others will be strangers or scammers trying to conjure a plan to get a piece of the winner's nearly $1 million - the amount expected to be doled out to each person after taxes.
The net amount keeps changing. What was the cash value? I can't seem to find it in any article. If I recall it was around $95M. So the near $1 million reported above can't be right. Even a 50% payout after fed state tax

Why Western States Win So Often
Time zone is the key.....alot of people in the midwest and west end up betting in the afternoon and theyfore they betslips fall between the time when the machines are already being tested for the draw..(3 hour window). The numbers bet during that time are harder to dance around.
Most people in the east place their bets prior to this testing period .....hence their numbers get danced around from the lotto's super-computer.
The above is just another conspiracy theory....don't even give

The Solution t This Gas Extortion
I think boycotting companies that do outsourcing will bring them to their knees. I mean not just boycotting for a day or week. Just don't do business with them. Never again. They will change.
We need fuel but there are many businesses that we can do without. Like Walmart and we don't have to do business with a bank that outsource their work. Hit them where it hurts. I think it is a shame for hard working faithful people to loose their jobs to cheap labor sent out of the country. Y

Hey GLC - Are You Listening?!
Great ideas Konane! Prehaps now is a good time to start writing letters to the GLC. I would LOVE to see Lotto Georgia return in it's original format.
She may be tossing out feelers to see how this idea goes over, and I for one hop
