What Would You Change About Your State Lottery?
I recently moved to Kentucky from Ohio and where I lived was close enough to PA and WVA that I could play those lottery games too. Each state has its share of player friendly games along with some stinkers. If I designed a state lottery, for online games I would use Kentucky's Pick-3 format with the $600 to $1 payoffs, eliminate the Pick-4 games and use PA's Quinto, use Ohio's Rolling Cash 5, WVA's Cash 25, and maybe throw in Ohio's Ten-O. There is no reason to run a 6/49 lotto when most players

Oklahoma Lottery starts daily drawings of Cash 5 game
Beginning tonight, July 1, the Oklahoma Lottery will conduct daily drawings of its Cash 5 game.
For $1 per play, lottery players now have more chances to win the top prize of $25,000 with taxes paid.
We wanted to offer our players more chances to win and increase the excitement surrounding this popular game, said Jim Scroggins, executive director for the Oklahoma Lottery. For just one dollar, a return of $25,000 is a thrilling win.
The drawings were previously held every Tuesday, Thur

Powerball
yes, started to create model/framework which to use to analyze the right timing and the right composition of numbers. see my post: Fractal and chaotic behavior in discrete sequence of data at https://www.lotterypost.com/blogentry/30552
it basic premise is to look first IF lottery data exhibits fractal and/or chaotic properties, and then via numerical methods (not so dissimilar to Monte Carlo!) study (hopefully present) pseudo cycles. this is the beginning of highly non trivial analysis, way b

My NY Pick 10 Efforts
Oh no Lex, I play around $10 worth of the Take 5 as well everyday (same amount of work).
Intersting thing is, usually I have small win in either game that offsets my average $20 a day expenditure.
For example, on Saturday (typical day) I totaly wiped out on the Pick 10...but got a 3 of 5 win in Take 5 (paid $19.50). 50 cent loss overall.
Don't get me wrong, there are some days were I completely wipe out and lose the whole $20 (good gosh! I'm sure some members might say).
I'm not suff

$222 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot rolls
Between the two games, Powerball does have the bigger advantage of getting a new record. Which holds it back a little is the $25 million max increase once it gets there.
Two main reasons why it could:
1. The odds of the jackpot are higher than Mega Million, at almost 1 in 200 million.
2. Sales are low compared to Mega Millions leaving more combos unplayed each drawing.
Mega Millions sales at $181 million: $55,348,833
Powerball sales at $192 million: $41,368,451.

Straight in WC 2
Thats 30 draws up there.
22 Singles and 8 doubles
WE had 13 hits during the 30 draws. ....and thats a 43% hit rate of all draws.
We had 13 hits of the 22 singles that hit......and thats a hit rate of the singles of .......59 % !
We could actually increase that to about 66 % hit rate .....in a good month.
Thats the expected math average on singles with this method.
........ and by the way ...... those are Straights Baby !
