powerball cash value
The jackpots for MM and PB are not comparable. MM is a traditional fixed annuity for 26 years, with all payments equal. PB, by contrast, is a graduated annuity, with lower payments in the early years and larger payments in later years. The amount of increase in payment each year is 4%, which is a fairly good estimate for average long-range inflation. So, though the payments aren't equal, they should be approximately equal in buying power. In addition, the PB annuity is for 30 years, not

You guys want to make some money?
I understand your point. And we agree on Indy. LOL! The best way for me to reiterate the point I made would be for me to say that whatever it is that is driving you to select certain numbers to play and not select others is the same thing influencing the rest of us to do, and not do, the same. That's the connection. Whether we experience a loss or a gain in our lives, cause happiness or sadness, act and react...it's all happening all over the world to every single individual on every leve

Powerball lottery jackpot raised to $117 million

Uff Da: I'll freely admit to a cynical side, but I think you're being far too charitable in thinking the PB annuity payout might have anything to do with offsetting inflation. I figure it's nothing more than a deliberate effort to inflate the amount they advertise. Virtually everyone who wins takes cash, so if the lotteries have any inclination to act in the interest of the players basing their advertising on the cash is the least they could do.
I'm with you on that one!

Powerplay 10X (2nd Poll)
Quote: Originally posted by Uncle Jim on March 12, 2006I think the lack of second place winners has more to do with the new matrix than with some sort of statistical correction. And at least one of those times last year was due to the fortune cookie fluke.
As for offering 10 X's on a regular basis. They will do it if they see a significant increase in Powerplay revenue but given the jackpot numbers I see (or more appropriately the cash value numbers I see) I doubt if that's really happening

PI method
Well, I find it best to continue looking for triggers with the mirrors you already have.
Maybe doing the opposite.... letting go of 'stale' mirrors ....may increase your win % for the time....but, a streak of losses can bury you...especially since you are skipping stale mirrors, which can be adding to your wins, to average out to the 89% hit rate.
Say you get draws like this....
318, 924 you would look for a trigger from either 9,4 and 8,3, don't just follow one.

probability of euromillions rollover
Euro Millions rolled to 38M jackpot for this coming 3/10 drawing. For the latest drawing, the amount of jackpot determined was 27M ( 18.5M/$32.5M). Based on the increase in the amount of jackpot pool, I see that EM expects the total EM ticket sales being approximately 100M, which would be equal to 50 million tickets.
Assuming 50 million tickets are sold, the probability of EM to roll on 3/10 is 52%. So, there would be roughly 50:50 chance of being hit or rolling over. The following table i

Who Won the $267M Lottery?
The bit about beating the odds always annoys me. Nobody ever beats the odds, but enough people buying enough tickets guarantees that there will eventually be a winning ticket despite the odds against each individual ticket.
As far as how many tickets were sold, it's easy to come up with a decent estimate. The cash value of the previous draw was about 126 million, and the cash value for the next one was about 159 million, so it increased by 33 million. 30% of each ticket goes to the jackpot,

"Win for Life" giving free tickets
Hi Bingo Long,
Sorry I am responding after the fact but yes, that was how it worked. I played 10 games on 10 separate play slips and I received 10 free tickets for the first drawing. What sucked was I had 20 tickets and did not win anything.
I am guessing this deal was just on the first drawing only. I doubt they will give free tickets for every drawing. Unless the New Lottery does really badly and they need to increase interest. LOL
Everyone have a great day.
Thanks,
John

A System to take a look at...
Hi All,
Even though I personally do not use the vtrac method nor understand it... I DO understand about playing a string or group of numbers due to hit in a particular state. It seems as if the vtrac strings are averaging about the same amount of numbers as my system I use or the pairs systems which is normally 30 sets of numbers.
Here is how I look at it - going to answer the person who stated it would cost them $6 to play. I would play the group/string for $6... if I lost the next draw

Mega Millions lottery jackpot raised to $212 million
A dramatic increase in sales of Mega Millions lottery tickets has prompted the twelve Mega Millions states to raise the jackpot mid-week to $212 million.
The new cash option is $126 million.
Recently, the news has been filled with big jackpots and winners, said Mike Doyle, spokesperson for the California State Lottery. Wouldn't you love to be part of the winning?
The sharply-increasing Mega Millions jackpot comes on the heels of a Powerball jackpot this week that set the record fo
