I always get bummed
The problem is, I couldn't care less if anonymous people on an internet message board believe me or not. I came here to learn and to teach in return. That's the only reason...if you're looking for someone who is looking for acceptance and belief, unfortunately you came to the wrong person :(

Lottery winner donates $3M jackpot to church
I would assume that a tax break is not feasable from an anonymous donation. If he were audited they would undoubtedly want some sort of recipt to go with a $3,000,000 donation claim.

N.Y. man spends thousands in search of lottery riches
It is best to remain anonymous if you are lucky to win, jealous or nutty people come out of the woodwork. I still think that it's crazy that US state lotteries to require winners to go public. It's totally mad!

Would you ever make your own website?
if you actually won that hundred million, you would pray to be anonymous. All kinds of snakes and bugs come from their hiding places just to find you.

Do you tip your cashier when you win?
No, we're just not completely stupid and want to remain at least somewhat anonymous. The store they work at is already going to get a $50,000+ bonus for selling it, the owner/manager should be tipping their employees with it.

Can I proclaim the jackpot anonymously in CA?
Did the regulation change? I know that CA doesn't/didn't allow anonymous claim for jackpot. But I heard about a recent winner in CA who claimed the jackpot anonymously. Did they change the rule?

Drive to boost Calif. lottery sales under way
It is just waste of money. I already saw those billboards and don't believe telling how many players won one or a couple bucks can boost a lottery sales. The California Lottery already did it's best by allowing the anonymous prize claiming - that one in my opinion was a far better step, even though I don't remember it widely advertised. Now all they can do is wait for the gas price to get lower - if ever.

Man quits lottery pool, then wins with Quick Pick
As he won on a Quick Pick he bought, not part of a pool, he shouldn't give any of his win to anyone else. However, I don't understand why he decided to go public. In the UK winners can remain anonymous. He will learn the hard way that, discretion is the better part of valour.
