The ticket cost of both MM and PB (and odds ) make it expensive to play even a few tickets every drawing especially playing other games too. So I only play when it's more likely the jackpot will be won, but over time It's probably a wash and I'll spend the same amount either way.

With regard to JPT, I have a new strategy to pick my numbers and it seems to be working out OK. I won some cash using it a week ago today. First, when I play JPT, which is only when the jackpot is a million dollars or more, I play at least one number from the previous draw (a repeater) and one or two adjacent numbers from the previous drawing.
