It's not that the fallacy does not exist as I know it does and have known it for at least 20 years.
I just don't believe it describes me or my methods. Most psychology introduction cources include
this. Just as I don't believe that odds rule over me in that I cannot do anything to give myself a
better then the odds chance. You mentioned card counters as a legit method to improve the play
and increase the return on a bet, the person who does not know how to do it correctly w

RL,
Conviced of WHAT?
Now tell me which would be the better method.
Choice #1 Play the penny first selected
Choice #2 remove it from the pool and make another selection.
...that removing numbers from your betting choices that are available to the Random Drawing Machines under the mistaken notion that they are less likely to be drawn so as to reduce the number of tickets you must purchase == is going to increase your odds of winning?
I think you're still trying to convince yo

There are folks making a living off the p-3 and p-4, but not because they listened to the likes of you.
.
joker17, in the past we've had our spats and differences but, I hope you're serious about this statement because it's very true and I agree with you 110%!! With the correct method(s) and a reasonable money reserve, one can get ahead very quickly. I'd like to emphasize and reiterate on that part about a reserve because it's very important. A player needs to have this in order to posses

N.C. Lottery notches record $1.42 billion in sales
Hopeful gamblers in New Hanover County spent more than $31.3 million on N.C. lottery games in the past year, about $161 per county resident or $361 per household, according to a StarNews analysis of lottery data.
Residents and visitors to New Hanover County spent slightly more cash on the lottery than they did on liquor at county ABC stores between July 1, 2009, and June 30. Liquor sales in the county totaled roughly $30.5 million during that time.
And New Hanover County consumers spent mo

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
If QP's account for exactly 70% of tickets sold and account for exactly 70% of winning tickets, while PP's account for exactly 30% of tickets sold and exactly 30% of winning tickets, I just cannot reconcile in my mind one method outperforming the other.
this right here is the gem of all statements on this thread, because it portrays with 100% accuracy that there is ZERO difference what a person plays, because it's random
I never said QP's are better than anything else, onl

winner1313 and his phi idea
in contrast to the above information,
just for the record:
JAIN of AUSTRALIA'S VALUE of PI
is BASED on the SQUARE ROOT of PHI
giving another value of Pi as:
3.144605512
(which is slightly less than Reddy's value of Pi, and similar to the value of Pi used by NASA which is higher than the traditional value of Pi. Sources of information claim that NASA are secretly using another value of Pi which is higher in the range of 3.142 to 3.146 and the story goes that the mooncraft would

Artificial Intelligence
There seem to be 2 schools of thought here on the predictability of Lotto games. Since Double-DUH, er, Delta Draw didn't specify whether he was confused by my questions, thinks they were totally irrelevant or naive, or otherwise not worth commenting on, I'm not sure which school he fits into.
The first school consists of those who are firmly entrenched in their belief in the Gambler's Fallacy. (See my other posts or check it out at Wikipedia.) If the selection of winners in a given Lotto gam

New York, NAILING THE PICK 4 !!
I post them 99% of the time, so just check in........It depends how many duplicate numbers fall, like on a 50 cent bet, 1234 gets you, $100, 1134 gets you $200, 1114, gets you, $600....
However, when playing a number with triples in it, like 1115, you should play 50 cent combo, it covers 1511, 1151, 1115, 5111 for only $2.00..... BUT you will have to get a check and a 1099 for taxes, so save your losing lottery tickets, I have a shoe box with about $1,400.00 worth this year including scratch
