Predicting winning numbers? Fact or fiction?
Although I didn't vote in the poll, I'm with Butch. I've noticed something that happens more often than not in a 5/39 matrix game. Year in, year out, in New York's Take5 game the biggest hitter in 365 draws will almost always have 58 hits. I've seen 58 hits in 365 draws in other states 5/39 games too. Sure, there have been years where there were a few less than 58 hits, and years where there were a little more than 58 hits, but if you average many years of data you'll see 58. This year there

Modular Arithmetic Visually Explained
Using modulo function on pick3 game would be mod(10) since there are 10 numbers. On your data manipulation any result that is greater than 9 will wrap around. For example: pick3 lotto math for addition 6+7=3. To do this in excel using modulo function would be =mod((6+7),10) The same concept can be applied to any lotto game. Another example using pick5 from a poll of 36 numbers would be =mod((x+y),36). Thus if x+y 36 ,the result will wrap around.

Anonymous / Non anonymous states
ok mikeintexas, A poll out from Monmouth University asked Americans what they think are the most corrupt states. Overall, there was not much of a consensus, but New York rose to the top (with just 12 percent), followed by California, Illinois, New Jersey and Texas. https://www.npr.org/sections/itsallpolitics/2015/04/16/400164062/the-most-corrupt-state-in-the-country-is I thought sure Louisiana would be in the top.

Florida lottery to roll out new game
play4shekels, People got excited over All or Nothing too. The lotteries are very well aware that any game will have takers when it's originally offered. There was once a poll here on LP about how big of a matrix would a jackpot game have to have before you stopped playing, at least one person said they'd never stop.

Very busy polling places according to all sources; the poll workers at mine said it started at 6:00 a.m. when polls opened and has not let up throughout the day. It will be interesting to see the results. Congratulations Sam9009 on your str8 call and midday hit. Evening plays: 0263 2513 7850 5483 9650 7859. Good luck everyone.

Do you pick-up coins / bills off the floor / street?
Kids look for change or bills all the time, finds are best left to lucky observant kids. I don't look 3 customers hands ahead at every check out to know who dropped what. This was a good poll topic, lol.
