Post your scratch ticket results
The low tickets are nice to snag a good prize on....wtg on your $60 on them! I'll grab a couple of the 'to do' games...bingo, crosswords etc $5 or $10 tickets when the bins are empty or I just want something to do - I found a $5 Cross Word ticket with a bonus win and a win on each grid for $40. I just punched the slot for one on the way out and grabbed a Mothers Day too...nothing on Mothers Day I really don't like them but the $40 on a $5 was nice. That same machine was pretty much e

PB or MM Quick Picks vs. Your Own Numbers
The biggest advantage for QP and thus disadvantage for Self-Pick(SP) is that people are pretty horrible when picking numbers. When I pick my own numbers I often pick the same numbers for different lines of I'm not careful and I never pick three or more in a row even though they are possible. QP's are any combinations so you don't have that problem. The biggest disadvantage for QP is that in order to have the winning QP you need to be at the right store at the right time and buy the ticket at

One New Jersey lottery player wins $429.6 million Powerball jackpot
I'm not saying they vanished as much as I'm saying they never existed to begin with. The 1/3 California and the NJ jackpost winners have not showed up. Meanwhile, the jackpot goes back down to 40M without the lottery having to pay any money. Does the 7-11 in NJ have security cameras? They know the exact date and time the powereball machine spit out that ticket. From the security cameras, find out who purchased it. But that won't happen. Why?

found winner
Expect to find winners in places where you see people playing frantically while watching the door and their backs. I've seen people scratching so fast in a frenzy to quickly do the current ticket in their possession while watching the door, watching if anyone is approaching, watching what the next player up is buying and all the while, trying to see if the ticket they have in their hands is a winner. These people don't validate...they can't leave the machine. Consider yourself lucky

Ever had random stranger chew you out for buying a lotto ticket?
I've heard cashiers in markets say things like there are better ways to spend money , or just that they see it as a waste, but it hasn't ever been directed towards me. For the most part, my regular place is full of people that wish one another luck if there is any build up of people around the lotto ticket scratch-it vending machine. I don't think I would appreciate some stranger strolling by spewing judgement. That's really lame.

How do we know that the drawings are happening live?
I guarantee you that there would be public outcry if there was enough evidence to show that the game was, in fact, not random. A little hard for the average citizen to get any information on that as we can't go behind the curtain. I still believe that there are numbers that are known ahead of time that are dispersed in ways beneficial to the lottery and detrimental to the majority of players. Ever buy a bunch of QPs to see a lot of repeated numbers? None of which are drawn or are drawn with numb

New to Scratch-off games, had some questions
Thanks for the answers so far, I buy mostly $10 scratchers, sometimes $5 and $20. I realize less I shouldnt buy any tickets less then $5. Another thing I've been reading a lot on the forums is that I should be looking in the series number ( or book/roll number? not sure what the term is) of the tickets like if I buy a ticket and it's the first or end of the series (like #1 or #50) I shouldn't buy anymore since those tickets are duds and should instead go to a different store/machine and bu

The odds are you won't hit a major jackpot. So...
I enjoy thinking about all the people in my life who I can help. Even though I am restricted by the IRS on how much I can give to each person, I will still help them. Maybe it is a good thing that I cannot ruin another person's life by being too generous. How generous I can be, depends on how much I win. I will start with family first. That is in the New Testament. You are worse than an infidel if you neglect your own family. I really enjoy that the Power Ball jackpot winners in C

Iowa Lottery CEO Terry Rich answers your questions
Hello Mr. Rich, Even if RNGs and ball-drawing equipment have their vulnerabilites, as you've noted, the ball-drawing machines offer the player a modicum of interaction by watching each ball dribbling out of the chute, anticipating the next ball, then talking to the machine to display their desired number and utimately shouting out the next number, even if that ball was different; and the players ticket did not match. This is much more fun than computer generated digits that simply flash numb

POWERBALL CREATES WORLD'S FIRST BILLION-DOLLAR JACKPOT
The key phrase is could happen but it didn't as the odds worked against them although they definitely had a good chance. I just wonder how the heck on earth do you fill out all those lottery entry forms.? Then the clerk has to scan the lottery entry into the machine then issue you your ticket then repeat process over and over and over and over and over until time runs out. The first thing would be to play a game where they only do the drawing once a week so that gives you a solid week to fill ou
