Retired NY principal claims $326M lottery jackpot
A retired Sullivan County, New York, school principal drew the sole winning ticket from a $326 million Mega Millions game two months ago, making him the biggest winner in state lottery history, officials said Monday. Harold Diamond, 80, purchased the winning multi-state ticket at a Valero gas station in Middletown on Nov. 4. Diamond had 60 days to contact lottery officials, and the Wurtsboro resident finally did so just before Christmas. Diamond was identified during an event at that Va

Paper and Pencil Vs. Software
Randomness is simply too complex to be studied with paper and pen. Greater minds than mine ( and that means every other human in the world) have tried to find some meaning in random processes. One needs a computer; the faster, the better. Paper and pen may work once in awhile when the subject is the lottery and you may even win a few dollars here and there. Hopefully the win is a life changing event. If not, you will lose more than you win with paper and pen. (Hey! That rhythms)

My son wins the lottery does his stepmother have the right to claim some of the money?
If your son is lucky enough to win a jackpot or a large price, he should get independent professional legal advice on how best to claim his prize. He may be able to claim the prize anonymously, as winners can in some states. If not, he may be able to claim the prize through a company or trust, he can set up in the event of a win to maintain his anonymity. Good luck to him.

Monopoly Millionaires game
Well given their vendor contract, I suspect they are largely stuck with the current format. The only benefit of nobody being aware of the game is that the TV show might be the first many people hear about it. Therefore, they may get an initial boost of sales when it re-launches. But I expect the sales will drop again when the novelty wears off and people realize how bad the odds really are for the prizes. In any event, keep us posted since we cannot rely on the state lotteries or the MMC

Powerball Matrix Change - April 15, 2015
Would you consider laying 1,2,3,4,5+6 or any of the other extremely common combinations? That and playing for small jackpots are two sides of the same coin. In the unlikely event that you do win, the amount you win will be less than what many others win. You are far, far more likely to not win, making the amount (or the combination you choose) irrelevant. Since it's a game of chance, the only thing you can control is how many chances you have, and the potential prize you have a chance at. In

Texas Lottery suspends sales of Monopoly Millionaires' Club game
If I remember correctly, the first few drawings were also competing with a really high PB and/or MM jackpots at the same time. In any event, the game was poorly marketed to players and to vendors. I buy a couple tickets a week and nobody knows what I am talking about. I've been handed a $5 monopoly scratchoff ticket about half the time. They could give vendor incentives/bonuses to sell more tickets like they do with most new scratchoffs and the powerplay options on PB and MM. At least that w

Wild Thought, Lottery Post Having a Convention?
Most people would probably call me a liar if I showed the PM threats I got from one particular member even though other members got similar PMs. But it's meaningless because words can't hurt me (except for the the end in the Geico commercial). I doubt there will be an official LP get-together sanctioned by management though there is no reason why a few LP members couldn't decide a place and time to meet. Other message board forums and chat rooms have discussed reunions, but when it happened i

Wild Thought, Lottery Post Having a Convention?
I guess I could do that, or I could h-a-n-d-l-e the Tambourine, or something complex like a bell tree. If I played a Triangle folks might think it's a dinner bell and then... well then I hope MikeinTexas has the food ready ! Never know what could go wrong though, when I was about 11 y/o I was a choir soprano and coming up on an important event I lost my voice, when it came back it was a manly voice. LMAO !
