War Dampens Indiana's Hope of International Lottery
Indiana's hopes of joining an international lottery -- boasting prizes as big as $500 million -- have become a casualty of war.Indiana was one of about 30 states and several foreign nations jockeying to organize the international game, which was expected to begin this year with one drawing each week. But talks of the game have stalled because several European nations have withdrawn, citing concerns about U.S. involvement in the Iraq war, Hoosier Lottery Director Jack Ross said. They felt they cou

Mega Millions Considers Multiplier
In the wake of Texas' choice to join the Mega Millions, the multi-state lottery game may be enhanced to include a multiplier option similar to the Powerball Power Play feature. The multiplier option is among the points to be negotiated before Texas officially becomes a Mega Millions member state. Powerball players can pay an extra $1 and if they win a lower-tiered prize, their winnings can be multiplied by up to five times. Rebecca Paul, a leader in the Mega Millions organization, indicated tha

42 Chances at Powerball $39
Quote: Originally posted by CASH Only on December 23, 2002 smd: You're right; if I were to play $84 for Christmas Powerball, I would play 84 different combos. OT: Why is PA dragging its heels on replacing Super-6 ?? CASH,The only reason I can think of, on why PA is dragging out the death of Super 6, is because of the Pick 6 Lotto in NJ. Ever since NJ joined Mega Millions their Pick 6 jackpot starts at $1 Mil and grows $500K every drawing (like Super 6 is now). Occasionally the NJ Pick

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
On Page 3 of this thread I said, I will probably play when the CASH VALUE is at $500,000,000 + , referring to the new $5 MM ticket price. Now, the PB is playing their gormless games...SO....If this UK thing happens ?? I will most likely develop the same starting point--$500 Million CASH VALUE. PB leadership has shot themselves in the foot(IMHO) with their failing to restart the jackpot at $40 Million due to Covid mess in 2020-2022. That medical problem has been subsided now for 3+ years but the

my idea for a multi-state lottery
What about prizes for matching 4 or 3 numbers? If there are only prizes for matching 5 or 6 no one would play the game as it is simply far too difficult to match 5+ (1 in 294k+) or you don't win anything. If you are interested in a multi-state lottery try looking at something like Australia's 6/45 Tattslotto game to help with our idea. It has been running since about 1986 and is by far our most popular lottery game.

Why the fervor over a winner being a quick pick or self pick?
And I would love to know how many unique combinations should we expect if they sell 14M tickets in 6/49 game. And interestingly, i couldn't find 649 game in US. so I couldn't find how many tickets could be sold. As for PB, here are some statistics about PB: Gary Grief, chair of the Powerball game for the Multi-State Lottery Association, told ABC News that 371 million tickets had been sold for the record-breaking draw as of Wednesday afternoon (Jan 13 2016)

$334 MILLION: Powerball jackpot rolls into the new year
By Todd Northrop This Saturday, lottery players will have the chance to buy tickets for the largest Powerball jackpot of the year. Of course, it's also the first Powerball jackpot of the year. Kidding aside, when nobody won last night's $301.8 million jackpot, the new Powerball jackpot estimate for Sat., Jan. 2, grew to $334 million, which is the largest jackpot for the popular multi-state game since Feb. 2015. The lump-sum cash payout value of Saturday's Powerball jackpot is $205 mi

New England's Lucky For Life.
I like that DE is getting this game but will only play as a 'fun' game as the odds/payouts really kinda suck. But that seems to be the way of things lately all the big multi-state games are upping the number of balls and making it harder to hit. So a 'for-fun' only game
