New Millionaire for Life multi-state game coming in 2026
The initial knee-jerk reactions are predictable.
When people are actually in the store buying tickets and comparing this to other games they will realize that this is a decent game. There are some states where that may not be true but from Michigan I can tell you it looks good compared to everything else we have.
I don't like waiting years and years for the 6/xx jackpot to get big and the Fantasy 5 here has never been over a Million since it started 20 or 21 years ago. Also in the years

New Jersey couple wins $3 million lottery prize six months after winning $1 million
Couple beats 1-in-2-trillion odds with back-to-back lottery wins
By Kate Northrop
A New Jersey couple experienced a bout of deja vu when they made a familiar trip to the New Jersey Lottery to claim a $3 million prize just six months after winning $1 million.
A husband-and-wife team defied insurmountable odds by scooping a $3 million prize and finding themselves standing before Lottery officials for the second time in six months.
Winning the lottery once is tough enough it might o

Me : Can anyone consistently win the lottery?
ChatGPT : Winning the lottery consistently is extremely unlikely due to the inherent randomness and low odds associated with lottery games. Lotteries are designed to be games of chance, where the probability of winning is typically very low. For example, the odds of winning a major lottery like Powerball or Mega Millions are often in the range of 1 in hundreds of millions.
While there are occasional stories of people winning the lottery mult

will you play the new $5 mega millions?
There will be people that play $5 on MM. Guaranteed. There are people that drop $5...$10...$20...$50...even $100 on scratch offs. For the Jackpots MM offers $5 is nothing to some players, despite the odds of over 1 in 302 million plus.
For comparison, TX $100 - $20 Million Supreme scratch off has a top prize of $20 million with top prize odds of 1 in 2,550,000. They are really selling those tickets. Me personally, I would never spend that. I very seldom (won't say never) will spend $5 on MM

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Sales would have to increase by about 50% to get the odds of a win to 3%.

Powerball drawing produces huge number of big winners, including two who split the jackpot
The odds of winning are the same, but the odds of sharing the jackpot are higher..
It is like in NZ a lotto official said that there were usually about 3,000 tickets with 1,2,3,4,5,6 ... When picking your own numbers, people want a logical reason... Birthdays is another (so more likely to share prizes/ jackpots if the numbers are 1 - 31.

Fantasy 5 Group Balance Strategy: Why Spreading Numbers Across Decades Wins Big
I've been digging into Michigan Fantasy 5 draws lately, and one pattern jumps out, winning combos rarely clump in one decade like all teens or 20s. Historical data shows that most jackpots spread across groups: 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-39, hitting 3-4 groups on average. All from one group? Super rare, under 2% odds. Smart play: mix low-high with 2-3 odds/evens, aiming for sum 55-125 (avg 11-25 per number). Skipped this last week and whiffed; now wheeling balanced sets like 5-17-24-29-31 from smart
