I am going to try to change the rules about annonymity...
One way to stay anonymous is to join a lottery pool. Everyone that's interested in such things have heard of an office or a factory lottery pool winning a jackpot, but I doubt if anyone ever remembers who was in it. Besides being in a lottery pool increases your odds of winning something and if a jackpot is won it dilutes the notoriety as well as the winnings for everyone.

I am going to try to change the rules about annonymity...
Good luck on finding previous jackpot winners who don't want to be found. Why would anyone who won a lottery jackpot and managed to fade out of sight want to come forward and bring attention to themselves by trying to pass a law that would allow them to remain anonymous?

I am going to try to change the rules about annonymity...
Most states do NOT allow anonymity, because lotteries generally want the public to be assured that the grand prize is being paid to a real person. Only a few states allow anonymity. If you want to remain anonymous, I suggest that you go to a state where you can claim prizes anonymously.

Georgia Trucker Claims Half of Record $390 Million Lottery Jackpot
You can only do that in a state that won't announce your name, Gina. No matter how you claim your prize, in a Trust or LLC, many lottery rules dictate that you cannot remain anonymous. Some of them even require a press conference. This subject has been discussed many times on LP.

Is it possible to remain anonymous in NJ through a trust or attorney?
LottoBuster....whether or not you can set up a blind trust in NY is not as critical to remaining anonymous as are the rules of the NY Lottery. Lotteries are usually pretty specfic about how a claimant is to be identified. Not sure about NY.

$355 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot increased
Dog and I drove to Cinci to play 10 draws worth. Ohio Lottery Corp said in an e-mail they honor blind trusts to stay anonymous, plus will cut individual checks for group players. Of course if I win on my Season MM ticket from Mass., I'll just have to deal with one check only and being in the limelight. Good luck to everyone!!

My brother won 35 million
Your brother lives only TWO (2) miles away from you, and the two of you haven't spoken to each other in FOURTEEN (14) years!?!?!?!?! Don't tell me that if you ever win the powerball, that your brother won't camp outside your house, looking for you. The reality is that if you ever win a lottery jackpot, people related to you and people not related to you WILL have a hand out. Human nature is still human nature, regardless of how much money you have. I know and understand that most st

Contacting Professionals After You Hit A Multi-Million Dollar Prize!
Somebody real soon is going to need all of these professionals whether they go anonymous or not. I sure hope that it is I. I have a plan in place, and would gladly accept a $12,000,000 Jackpot; but honestly, I'd like to be the one who won the first ever $400,000,000 Jackpot. Just a dream.

Okla. lawmaker aims to stop lottery winners from staying anonymous
MORNING PEOPLE : i agree with surge , there must be a way that you can remain anonymous to the public safety, while i understand that some people might owe thousands in child support, i feel that the lottery commission should know who they are paying this money to, they should be able to do a proper background check on people, i feel if you make a winners name public you are also makeing a way for them to be victums to crimes , just remember mr senator , it could be you or your family who

Here We Go Again
I would rather back to back wins than them raising the matrix again. I can see it now. Just match 5 of 58 and 1 of 45. I also would not mind winning the $15 million after a record jackpot win by someone else, as that would be about as anonymous as you could get. Personally I could care less how often it is won, or how big it gets. As long as I am the winner of at least one jackpot.
