Mega Millions: $224 million lottery drawing tonight
I would think since states contribute 30% of their sales to the jackpots of both games, the games head quarters would have those figures after each drawings.

Jackpots are always won with one set of numbers
One set of numbers always win the jackpot. So buying more than one ticket per drawing is betting against yourself. If we stick to buying one ticket per drawing the lottery will be force to reduce the odds of winning.I will be happy to win a lottery jackpot or a second prize once in my lifetime.one single ticket per drawing makes a lot of sense. 1 ticket gives me as much chance as 100 tickets because the lottery equation never changes no matter how many tickets are bought. For mega millions it alwa

Powerball outmuscles Mega Millions in sales, jackpots
Powerball is on a roll.
Wednesday's annuity jackpot got to be gigantic $252 million by leaving the main rival in the dust.
Both grew for 11 drawings, but the top prize in Mega Millions rose only to $143 million Tuesday night.
When states began selling both lotteries on Jan. 31, observers wondered how they'd fare head to head.
The verdict seems to be in.
Powerball is Coke, Hertz, Muhammad Ali. Mega Millions is Pepsi, Avis, Joe Frazier.

Bill would boost California Lottery jackpots

Assemblywoman Mary Hayashi (D-Castro Valley) said her legislation would ultimately mean more money for education, but the United Teachers of Los Angeles objected during a committee hearing that it would allow funds to be shifted from education to prizes.

Almost everything you do when playing the lotteries will jinx you, that's the reason so few win the jackpots.

What do you do to Increase your Odds of Winning?
ca-dreamin*,
Yeah, I know you play Little Lotto. Here's the last two years, individually and combined. So far this year it's been 16 Player Picks and 17 QPs not counting tonight.
First, the results for the last two years;
These were the 2008 results:
146 Jackpots
120 QP 82.19%
91 PS 62.32%
(includes shared jackpots)
2008 was a leap year. So in 366 days jackpots were paid out 146 times or every 2.506 days
82.19% of the jackpot winners were QP

Mega Millions or Powerball will reach Half a Billion.
Not only is 500 million not going to happen, 300 million isn't going to happen either. It's the case of the incredible shrinking jackpots. Both jackpots are now smaller than games with half their odds (Canada's Lotto Max and Euromillions). Next year with the current set of clowns in office the amount you will get after tax will be much smaller still. It's long overdue to change the price of the tickets instead of the odds.
I would be surprised if either game breaks 265 even in this disappoint
