"RAISE" investment for Lottery Ticket$
Sorry about my generation. (I realize it isn't my generation that caused this insane debt, but I know we won't solve it. Almost everyone whose politically active and young just wants free stuff. There are exceptions.... but let's be real. I was basically yelled at by one of those get out the vote people because I wouldn't vote for Obama who would help us with our college loans. None of these kids could imagine working to pay their way through college rather than putting on a government sponsered

Do Some Number Combinations Have Better Odds? No All Combinations Have The Same Chances Of Winning.
WHICH HAS THE BETTER CHANCE OF WINNING: COMPUTER PICKS OR PLAYER PICKS? About 70% to 80% of purchases are computer picks. About 70% to80% of winners are computer picks. Perhaps just one of those weird coincidences? HOW COME THE ONLY JACKPOT WINNERS ARE FROM THE [EAST - WEST - NORTH - SOUTH - CITIES - RURAL AREAS]? HOW COME ONLY [WHITE, BLACK, TALL, SKINNY, YOUNG, OLD] PEOPLE WIN? Powerball is a random game that knows nothing about who buys a ticket or where a ticket is purchased.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
I think I understand why my statements were misinterpreted. It's tough for me to both summarize, and clarify, so please forgive me. When you spin it, each individual number should have a 1 in 38 chance, and each event should be random and independent of past results. Obviously, in an optimum world this would be true. In

Did I possibly got scammed by storeclerk?
I read what Todd wrote and it didn't sound overblown to me. There's nothing wrong either with being a little paranoid, especially in a hard up world. If you take anything from Todd's post, take heed.. the next person ripped off might be you. Did you ever think about, beforehand, what you'd say to a clerk who handed you $10 when you knew the ticket was $100? It's fine and dandy to know what you have before you hand it over but what happens when you hand it over and the clerk swears yo

Odds on Misinformation
Thanks for your response nickbrownsfan. 1) Knowing what numbers are being played a lot is good info to have. No sense betting on numbers that will likely produce sharing of the pot. In my first post I suggested that, from what some players had told me, they don't bet on sequenced numbers because they believed the odds were worse and sequences never hit. Of course we all know the odds are the same for sequenced and unsequenced numbers. But my sample of people saying they don't play sequenced n
