Lottery winner lost money after investing funds
Alternatively the moral is: if you win, win big so that you can just stuff all the money in a whole lot of insured money markets. I still believe that 500,000,000 to 600,000,000 dollar jackpots for a young person negate much of the need for investment planning. You would still need to plan on how to allocate disbursements over 65 to 70 years though. (I personally don't need jackpots that big.)

Dual multi-state lottery sales may keep jackpots lower
Since Mega Millions does not have a megaplier and the starting jackpots are lower, I wonder if Powerball is going to be much more heavily played than Mega Millions.

Dual multi-state lottery sales may keep jackpots lower
I don't care about winning $100 Million+ jackpots to be honest. $50-$60 million is big enough to me.

Global Lottery Solutions (G.L.S)
I have noticed this, too, not only with the big jackpots, but with the smaller ones, also. It does happen OFTEN.

Have you given up hope that you will win the jackpot?
In my state the easiest game to win is Rolling Cash5 (5/39) with jackpots of $100K-$500K, odds of 1:575,757 and is played every day. If I play for 50 years I will only have 18,250 chances to play. Classic Lotto (6/49) has jackpots of $1M-$12M, odds of 1:13,983,816 and is played three days a week. If I play for 50 years I will only have 7,800 chances to play. MegaMillions (5/56+1/46) has jackpots of $12M-$200M+, odds of 1:175,711,436 and is played twice a week. If I play for 50 years I will

When To Play The Lottery
I don't think they choose to wait; they just don't play very often but will spend a buck or two when they see $100 million plus cash jackpots. The first of the year in many states, players can play for a minimum of $12 million four days a week. Depending on how much they'll spend each drawing that could be an expensive hobby. It's going to be interesting to see how much the volume of play rises when those part-time players see when one or both jackpots are very high.

People selling systems for jackpot games have never hit a jackpot. When someone tries to sell you a system, ask them how many jackpots they have won with it. People who hit jackpots don't sell systems because they know it was pure luck. Whether they played a quick pick, just had a feeling about some numbers, or have played the same numbers for years, if they come in, it's nothing but luck.
