Now this I semi-agree with. Even though that poll was taken in the midst of the recession so I hope it's less than that now. HBO had done a documentary on lottery players and there was this woman who hadn't saved a dime towards retirement. She was counting on winning the lottery for all her future needs. She had nothing to her name, even though she had a job she put every dollar she could towards lottery tickets. Then there was a NYC doorman with a family who was spending 5 figures a year on

On a $1 Billion Mega Millions Jackpot? You didn't have a slot on the poll for my answer - $4.00. That's two lines with the Megaplier. Same as I play on the base Jackpot of $15 Million.

You will have to get used to the snail like pace on LP. Sometimes you just sit and wait and wait, and then wait some more for the other person to respond. haymaker, A search shows a similar poll posted by Harvest Moon in 2009 and a post refers to the earlier one I wsas thinking of. Gee, when you do searches and see the names of some of the posters it makes you wonder 'where are they now?'.

Why would MM risk losing people/money with new matrix?Reply
Go run a poll of people buying tickets. Ask them if they know how much the odds will change with the new matrix. Almost all won't know and very few will care. The main reason? You have to beat really high odds already, so there's really not much of a difference. A majority just don't care about the odds and instead look at how much the jackpot is. Personally I'll still play, granted I do only play $1 per draw, so it really isn't much.
