Any players in NC
I live in Charlotte, NC. I've been playing scratchers for about 3 years now. Never really gave much attention to scratch-offs until I won $100 on a $1 ticket (been playing ever since lol). I didn't even intend to buy the $1 ticket. When I was standing at the machine to get a ticket for the mega some random kid ran up and started hitting buttons. Out came the $1 ticket.
I've had a decent amount of luck over the few years I've been playing, mostly on the $20 tickets. A few months ago I had a h

What's the rule / etiquette?
First of all, the clerk should not be making comments like he expects to be tipped. If the clerk did it to me, I would tell the clerk Play the Mega Ball # 8 in the next Mega Millions drawing. How in the world would the clerk know if he sold you the ticket? It could have been purchased from any clerk from any store and/or machine. I usually by my tickets from one store either from the owner or his wife who are good friends with me. Anything under $500.00, I would not tip. Anything over, I would u

Can Lottery Ball Machines Cheat - Be RIGGED ?
A better way of rigging has nothing to do with tampering with the balls or machine, but involves WHEN the wager is placed, such as placing a wager AFTER the draw has been completed.
It's possible a lottery could past post once a month (maybe to make their monthly payroll?), but it's much easier to take the money from the unclaimed prize fund. To have a decent conspiracy theory, we need a legitimate reason why any state lottery would cheat and take the chance of killing their cash cow.

New player looking for tips and/or suggestions.
Never really played any lotto games but I work in a store that sells lotto. Despite living in a state where lotto is not all that popular, I became interested in learning about the different games in order to answer customers questions. After looking at the odds and payouts of all the the lotto game (powerball, state lotto, scratch tickets, ect.) I started playing Pick 3 quick picks. The randomness is fun, but the great odds with fair payouts won me over. The game seems to me like slot machine m

Man wins $1M in Powerball after playing same numbers for 20 years
, CDanaT! So, figure Roger spent $8/week on self-picked and machine-picked tickets in Powerball game ONLY; he'd have spent, less small quarterly wins, approximately $8,100 after 20 years time. Thus, this after income taxed apx. $499K Net lottery jackpot win is a wonderful, 20-year return! Congratulations Roger!
Regardless, Roger probably now realizes that he was foolish not to have played buying the additional multiplier EACH ticket, once that option became available in recent years, though!

NY Sweet Millions
It's the 33 that's broken out with the early lead in 2014...it's been out 5 times already this year.
The 27 popped too, so it's only the 2 that's yet to be drawn in 2014.
No repeater last nite.... 8 20 22 27 31 33 I only had one lousy number on my ticket! (The 33, and I didnt even pick it, the machine did!)

Have you ever changed buying tickets strategy?
For my own set numbers I buy anywhere.
I don't like to buy tickets where the clerks always have an attitude or are always preoccupied in conversation with someone or are always multi-tasking with something else while running my playslips even with my own self-picked numbers.
They cast a pall over the whole experience as far as I'm concerned so I avoid them with all my ticket purchases.
Just one of many reasons all lottery transactions should be done by machine or online in my opinion.

NC scratch off mystery?
We have a group that plays Diamond Crossword game from the machine and have encountered this four different times.
When the tickets get to number 017 it will skip to 008 as the next ticket.
(or when you get to 008 it skips up to 017)
I am wondering if anyone has encountered this happening.?
