Wondering if I should go back to buying scratchers?
For the record... I scratch from time to time too. I typically buy a couple of them if I'm behind someone in line that does. I'll buy a couple of the same ones that they bought. I figure that they'll go to the car, scratch and lose. Sometimes the tickets that I bought are winners (fee tic or a couple of dollars), but nothing to really jump up and down about. Just like dropping a couple dollars on that machine on the way out of the casino. Sure would be nice to tell that story while the bells and

Post your scratch ticket results
How has skeptic not hit a million or hell even $100K yet ? Its obvious the tickets win more in his area and there are lots of jackpots in the vicinity. Is it fate ? If this woman pops 2 jackpots from the same store I would love to see her $500 and $1K wins summary. Whatever she expected to win from the same Publix out of the same machine from the same ticket she won. Has to be rigged. Was she ordering several books a day from the lottery and they thought why not lets shock her and send her the $5

Post your scratch ticket results
I laffed so hard ! BIG JIM was at my fav Publix a little while ago - he said he was gonna buy his daily ONE ticket - a GRT. I walked over to the machine with him and he bought ONE - a loser. I said watch me BIG JIM I'll show you how it's done - I slid a $20 in the slot - same bin he just played and yanked out $500 !!!
I scratched right there - he saw it - and I got outta the store as fast as I could. BIG JIM was standing there with his mouth hanging open - BIG JIM is about 6-8 weighs maybe 27

What Did You Overhear In Line Today?? MM 636M 12/17/13
Bought mine at the gas station, several people ahead of me and everyone was getting tickets. Few more came in after, definitely more people than I normally see on the way home.
There was a middle aged guy who had a temper tantrum. He could not understand the new play slips - old MM and current PB/CA Superlotto have a white block next to a red block, new MM has white above red. Apparently he did 'two' tickets by filling out one white and one red section. Machine rejected it and he starts up wi

Here's an idea, how about a Vending Machine Scratch Tournament
Hey, I was just there visiting. Just found the new vending machine better than what we have in NJ. Unlike NJ, you can scan your tickets for winners. The new machines have scanners on them and they can automatically take your winning tickets as credits and let you play more. This eliminates the hassle of cashing in your winners before going back to the machines to play more.
I have been to the Port Authorithy terminal in the city where they have a bank of vending machines. That was more than a

Some players confused by new Michigan Lottery poker game
In some states the game is called Five Card Cash and the cost of a ticket and the payoffs are basically the same. It's a two part game with the first part being like a video poker machine; if you match a pair of jacks or better, you instantly win. Because it's a two part game the payoffs are based on a $1 bet. If you bet $1 on a video poker machine and get two pair, you win $2 and the payoff is the same in this game. A Three of a Kind payoff is even higher at $5 to $1.
The second part of the

Man vs Machine, which do you prefer?
It doesn't happen often, but a couple of times I've put ten bucks into a machine at the grocery store only to have it be eaten . I'm afraid to leave b/c then someone might come along behind me and get my credit. I have to wait until a store employee comes along or a sack girl/boy goes out w/ a customer's purchases and I ask them to get someone who can help me. The machine is right next to the bathrooms and once I had put in my money and was making sure I pushed the right button on one of the lot

Tickets for updated Mega Millions game on sale Saturday
They wouldn't try something sneaky like put two (or more) Megaballs with each numeral in the machine, would they? Would that tilt the odds in any drastic fashion?
I have been playing six set numbers for years, dating to before I heard of MegaMillions. I had been rotating one of the numbers into the Megaball position on a calendar-month basis. This new limit of 15 has effectively limited my ability to do that to only one of the six numbers. I just bought my first ticket for this 75/15 mat

It seems like I have to continue to fight the urge to buy scratch tickets
Hi dk1421,
Congrats on your win of 2 dollars that's good with just 5 dollars spent. I like your playing strategy of not buying scratch tickets if they do not have the exact one you want. Like yourself I also check my state's lottery website to check on the odds of the remaining tickets and to check when the new ones are coming out. I rarely buy scratch tickets from the vending machine. Though the first time I ever used a vending machine I won 100 dollars on a 5 dollar scratch ticket. It seems
