North Carolina: 7/1 - 7/31/2012
Did anyone read this article on LP? It says that Georgia will have online sales of lottery tickets starting in November. I sure wish NC would...it would be a lot easier. I wonder if any other state can buy them online except GA...probably not. I just went back read the whole article it says no out of state sales will be allowed. Oh well there's always other online sales but I get too carried away on there. https://www.lotterypost.com/news/248808

Mass. lottery winners face charges in welfare fraud
Unless you are a sage, which you have not claimed to be and verified to be correct, you would have no knowledge of the source of the money with which the welfare recipient purchased or purchases his/her lottery ticket. If the welfare recipient wins, you own absolutely no share of it. There is no net lottery pool created. The litany of taxpayer's money that goes to create benefits, in the thousands of dollars, indirectly to many persons in America is extensive, and it is not possible to cat

why do YOU play the lottery??!?!?!
I agree with Cajun. This is a smart group here kiddo. By the way, I worked as a reporter for my college newspaper and am a book author (a real publisher) and have (1) never referred to myself as a journalist and (2) always fully disclosed for whom I worked for, my title, etc. I don't know of any college newspaper where staff reporters are called journalists. (3)You might want to do a survey among your own students to these questions. It would make your article more relatable.

NY lawyer in lottery mystery travels to Iowa this week
Sorry, but it says they are bearer instruments on the tickets themselves and the state lottery sites. There have even been cases already where the state flat out said someone gets the money because they turned in the ticket. https://www.lotterypost.com/news/123795 That article has a man pulling a lottery ticket out of the trash and having full rights to the money, even after the person who bought the ticket challenged ownership. http://blog.chron.com/newswatch/2011/05/man-sues-texa

Praying?
Be my guest, but If you start with Bible quotes, then the game is over. I'm not gonna keep repeating myself over and over. For centuries, the greatest minds have debated this subject, and no proof has ever surfaced. If you can do better, be my guest. I've had debates like this for about 15 to 17 years now, and no one has ever proved anything to me, or anyone else. You can't prove something that is faith based. But give it a shot if you want to. You already tried with the 300 J

N.J. school board member claims $211.7M Powerball jackpot
So much for remaining a private person. I just read another article about Ms. McNeil which discloses more personal information includng the location of her last job and the church she attends. The press is now interviewing her neighbors, co-workers and even her pastor. There is even this quote from her attorney: Her attorney, Perry Pittenger of Scotch Plains, said his lucky client is wary of the notoriety that can follow sudden riches. She's not one for the limelight,' Pittenger said. 'W

Just to show you that a Rich Person & You are NOT on the same heel in gambling..
One hundred thousand Persons playing across the country paying $1.00, and not win the Jackpot, is the same as one person spending one hundred thousand dollars and not win the Jackpot. Okay, rosie. Now, you know I like you lot and agree on most everything we touch base on but, I must disagree with the above statement. (100,000) people spending ($1) dollar and (1) person spending ($100,000) on the Jackpot is VASTLY different, and, that $100,000 has a very good chance of hitting provided t

Sisters' lottery jackpot trial begins today
The very first sentence in the article clearly says that they played together for years and the court ruled that the consideration that was exchanged was the mutual promise to equally share any prizes. The article also clearly says that the sister who is suing previously shared a $175,000 prize with the sister who bought the PB ticket. The original challenge to the contract was that Connecticut had a law making gambling contracts illegal, but the court ruled that the contract is valid because it
