$315 Million Winners Still Working
Must be nice to be able to remain anonymous. But I think it actually causes more attention. Had they relayed their names, I would have forgotten them in about a week. But since they are so content at hiding their names, all I can think about is finding out who they are.

Oregon Powerball winners deny making demands for interviews
Thanks for the info.............I live in Pennsylvania and no doubt in true Pennsylvania style, you'd probably be obligated to suffer through the maximum of obligations!!! Another question then......................what is this thing about being able to collect through an anonymous trust? How does that work and is that offered in every state or is that something else that depends on which state you live in as well?

Oregon Powerball winners deny making demands for interviews
It depends on the state in which you win.In New Jersey you must attend one press conference. Nowhere does it say you have to say something. In Delaware (Powerball) you can remain totally anonymous.

Jackpot Winner Anonymity poll...
I still say it's safer to remain anonymous. If it were just me, I propably wouldn't care, but it's the family you gotta look out for...

Powerball lottery winners talk about hitting the jackpot
Some Powerball and MegaMillions winners were listed as being Trust Funds . There apparently is a way to be anonymous.Trust fund members, LLC members, etc. are public information.

Powerball lottery winners talk about hitting the jackpot
I feel very sad about Mr. Whittaker. His escapades were almost entertaining until he lost his granddaughter around last Christmas. That's what I mean about a normal Christmas - one in which there are not any tragedies caused directly or indirectly by the money and attention. Some Powerball and MegaMillions winners were listed as being Trust Funds . There apparently is a way to be anonymous.

Jackpot Winner Anonymity poll...
I think all states should allow people to remain anonymous if they want, but I know that isn't going to happen. The Lottery officials want the players and would-be players to know that the game is real and that real people win. So they want to show off the winners, especially the big jackpot winners.

Mega Millions lottery jackpot raised to $262 million
Hi Everyone Long time reader, first time poster. After I win, I'll make sure to give props to Lottery Post during the press conference. I live in Illinois, so there's no way to remain anonymous (even through through a fund). Good luck everyone!

Remaining anonymous if you win jackpot?
The NJ Lottery has a search feature on their web site, which allows you to search by town and see all the winners there. It basically removes the possibility of staying anonymous if you win. Here's the link:http://www.state.nj.us/lottery/games/1-8_winners_search.htm

Oregon Powerball winner will finally be announced
I realize that you eventually have to come forward and all winnings are public records, but why in the world would anyone in his right mind want people to know he had the winning ticket? Of course I'd eventually give to charities and be generous to my family (depending on the size of the jackpot) but I'd try to remain as anonymous as possible, before and after claiming the money.
