WV Lottery officials keeping eye on PA internet gambling bill
West Virginia Lottery officials are closely monitoring legislation making its way through the Pennsylvania General Assembly that would significantly expand legalized gambling in that state.
Those guys are aggressive, I'll just say that, acting lottery director John Myers said Tuesday of the legislation, which would make Pennsylvania the fourth state to legalize internet gambling, would allow state casinos to operate satellite locations with up to 250 slot machines each and would allow slot m

By Todd Northrop
One winning ticket sold in The Hoosier State beat the odds and matched all the numbers drawn in Friday's Mega Millions drawing to win the colossal $540 million jackpot.
The numbers that single lottery ticket from Indiana matched in Friday's drawing were 8, 19, 20, 55, and 73, with Mega Ball number 5.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Speedway at 1589 N State Road 1 in Cambridge City, Indiana.

I don't try to be a downer, just a realist. The part that gets to me most is the folks that spend their last $1 thinking they have a real-world chance of winning because all the advertising leads them to believe so. Truth is, NCEL is skewed against them (P3, scratchers, etc) In addition, 4 schools in Salisbury closed because they could not get funding to keep them open......just sad given the increase in revenue this year (Record setting again)
Losing more often the past 3 years? Thank 1-o

Unclaimed Jackpot Prizes
You have 3 possibilities of what happened and 2 are very shady:
The ticket was thrown away. The lottery closed the game because they are allowed if all tickets have been sent out. The lotteries are using shady practices and in this case see below:
This is something that the lotteries should be sued upon, because it's a loophole that can allow a lottery to legally destroy jackpot tickets. This is something I had to do a lot of research to figure out how exactly all the top prizes wer

Lottery scam investigation comes to Tennessee
Just my 2 cents but I think too much emphasis is placed on the RNG's used to draw the numbers when it's
only half of the process. Quick picks are RNG generated but we never really hear anything about that. I
ran a few test and something is out of place. The RNG in a lottery sales terminal can be changed daily by
a simple firmware update. How can anyone profit from this, glad you asked. Numbered lottery games are
closed systems as they pick numbers from a finite pool. As such the outp

Unclaimed jackpots from games that ended?
I really can't hold it in any longer, so I'll tell you.
You have 3 options:
1. Someone threw it away. Yes I find a lot of winners in the trash. You could probably make a living just driving around going through the trash.
2. It was destroyed by the lottery.
3. It was never sent out.
So for all the people up in arms about the 1 or 2 top prizes left for the games closing here you go:
This is why it's illegal: To start off the lottery has to legally post the number of p

Need help with a algorithm
I am working on a tool to calculate the date for the next drawing. I start with converting the last
7 games from Georgian to Julian format. Next I subtract the second form the first then the third
from the second etc.. giving me the number of days between games. These values are stored in
the string NBD$. This works well enough for most games but lets say that a game draws 5 days a
week MTWTF and skips Sat and Sun. This would create a string something like 1111311 where

As concerning time, even a broken clock is correct twice a day. Time is not our friend when it comes
to winning a lottery, games don't last forever. Many tools can increase our chances for lower prizes
but the big one is in a league of it's own. Lower level prizes can be misleading when it comes to how
close we came to winning. A couple years ago I posed a question. Lets say that God gave me one PB
line and said 5 of the numbers were correct. He does not tell me which 5 so how many l
