Curious about rules on selling lotto tickets
I assume by huge jackpots, you're talking about more than the top prizes in a pick3 or pick4 game.
With so many lottery retailers around why would you care? Now maybe if you won more huge jackpots than there were retailers selling tickets in your area then you might have a point but I'm sure the lottery itself would be checking you out at that point.

It really is a time of low jackpots. I doubt any records are going to be set this year.

Now or Later
That's $500,000 annuity, not cash, and the cash value got over 70% of what the annuity value was on that big run too. Not to mention, you don't know if that's all the lottery can afford to increase the jackpot for that game. You don't know the sales figures. Why should they increase the jackpot more than $500,000 if the game doesn't bring in enough cash to do so? Also, going a year without a winner is mathematically possible. Just like any other jackpot game, there are times when the jackpot rol

I wouldn't bother playing a lottery every week...
There have been many, many jackpots of less than $250 million won.If you don't play you can't win,no matter what the size of the jackpot is.

Wow, this is rare.
I understood you. There's plenty of room to argue over what constitutes a big jackpot and a minor one, so let's start at 100 million. Over the last 3 1/2 years (a somewhat arbitrary period, because the jackpot of 101 million happened to be the last entry on the page) jackpots of more than 100 million have been followed by another jackpot over 100 million 13 times (red, below), and by jackpots under 100 million 7 times (blue). If you want to call a big jackpot one over 200, then there were 5 (bol

Question to top predictors with prize ratio more than 200%
Players have won multi-millions dollars jackpots with a $10 ticket or less, so the potential prize ratios could be in the millions of percents.

Powerball lottery jackpot hits $200 million
The logic behind only playing for higher jackpots is really simple. The odds are exactly the same for a $15 million jackpot as they are for a $50 million, $100 million, or $500 million (if it ever gets that high) jackpot. If you aren't going to play regularly the sensible strategy would be to make your occasional plays when the jackpot is high. Even for a regular player, the sensible choice would be to concentrate your plays on higher jackpots. If you're going to spend $100 on 100 chances at a j

Powerball lottery jackpot hits $200 million
I know. I don't understand how people feel they can't retire on jackpots unless they are higher then $150 million.

true system
I can't speak for the you guys , but it's the over 14 million possible combinations in 6/49 lottos and 146 million + in Powerball and Mega Millions that prevent 99.99% of the players from winning those multi-million dollar jackpots. There are players here on LP that play pick-3 and pick-4 games with $500 and $5000 jackpots that have hit several times. And some have won multiple jackpots by hitting one combination several times.
