At what jackpot amount would you consider "sharing" the wealth?
Food is different. You start giving one family member or friend money and they will ALL have their hands out. $4.5 million is not a lot to go around. I want to retire and saving most of that is key.
When I win, I know I would immedietly have at least 20 people with their hands out like I owe them something and other, closer family members trying to tell me how I should divide my money equally amongst my sisters and parents. In no way shape or form would I be giving away my chance at ea

Why the US is turing into a facist country
Please lets not single out one or the other of these parties again. This is making my eyes bleed. The mere fact that the statements use the word power , scares me. The founding fathers were not into power and that is why most of them worked for a dollar a year. Imagine any politician today working for a dollar a year. Even at that rate some of them would not be a bargain.
The real answer is, we have had stupidity in power for the last 46 plus years. The only reason I leave Ike out of t

paying it forward
CT:
You make some great points. I am an old guy and somewhat set in my ways, however, I am not sure how I feel about all of this.
Us old guys who worked like hell to be able to retire never expected tips or a kind word from anyone. All we wanted was to do the best we could every day for ourselves. I have worked many, many, many 12 and 14 hour days including Saturday and Sunday just to be able to turn out the work as it was assigned. No one said I had to do it, I could have quit any tim

LANSING -- A 48-year-old Detroit woman, who seldom plays the lottery, came to Lansing today to claim her winning $75 million lottery ticket. Loretta Brown, a loan officer who is married and has two grown sons, said the winnings will change her life.
I am so tired of being broke, said Brown, who said her first stop back in D

$18 million Texas Lotto jackpot hit by one ticket
Somebody who bought a Texas Lotto ticket in an Angleton convenience store is worth $18 million, but neither the couple who sold the winning ticket nor the state lottery commission knows who it is.
The winner has 180 days after Saturday's drawing to come forward to claim the jackpot, said lottery spokesman Robert Elrod. It's not uncommon for a winner to take several weeks to come to Austin to claim the prize, he said.
We would like to know who it is, said Shuju Feng, who operates the Hand

Single mom claims $94 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot
An El Paso single mother of two who worked three jobs is now a millionaire after claiming a $94 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot Monday in Austin, the Texas Lottery Commission announced.

Personal Problem.. Advice requested
Would turning this over to BBB do any good? What would you do?
It's never a waste of time filing a complaint, but I don't have much faith in the BBB. It's a self-regulated organization that accepts dues from the very people we complain about, and often the complaints do nothing to resolve the consumer's problems. From what I understand, almost every used car dealer is a member of its local BBB.
As others have said, try writing to newspapers, tv stations and other consumer advocate group

$1M lottery win was no April Fool's joke
Gary Noonan thought it was a nasty April Fool's joke when the clerk at his local Mac's Milk told him he'd won $1 million in the April 1 Encore draw.
The 50-year-old Perth man had gone in to the shop April 2, as he has nearly every Sunday for the past few years, to have his ticket checked and to faithfully replay his Lotto 649 numbers and Encore. But unlike those other times, the lottery machine began to spew out loud music and tickets. A joke, or a free ticket, Mr. Noonan though.
Instead,

Kentucky lottery players try to beat the odds
This is the first story in a four-part series on the Kentucky lottery and its local and state impactMost members of James Carrier's family have earned their largely modest income from the soil. But there is one relative of the retired Crab Orchard area farmer who a little more than a decade ago planted a seed that turned her into a millionaire. The seed, in this case, came not from a farm supply shop but from a convenience store.Back in 1994, one of Carrier's aunts, Beverly Pitt, also of Crab O
