Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Coin Toss..this is solely and intentionally directed at you. I have seen enough of you self righteous comments in this section to last a Good month. You constantly tell people they are cheap and how you can't understand why they don't spend the extra dollar. Then you proceed to comment on their retirement plans. Honestly, your thought process is different from others but nobody attempts to degrade your opinion. ..Until now... You can take your self entitled conceited opinions, and shove them up y

Multi state games
I live in Florida therefore I could buy a Florida Lotto ticket. Currently, Florida Lotto's advertised jackpot is 3.2 million dollars. The odds of winning it are 22,957,480 to 1 .
I can also buy a PowerBall ticket. Given how I play 3 identical lines with the PowerPlay option added, if I matched 5+0, I could win 6 million dollars. The odds of winning PB's second place prize are 11,688,053 to 1 . So it's half as hard to win a PB second place prize of $6 million compared to winning a Florida Lo

People think gambling is risky.
People think gambling is risky. But you know what's even more risky? Going through your whole life without taking any chances. In my opinion everyone should be gambling at least a small amount of their net worth each year. Say even 1%. Think about it. If you gambled $1 every single day on a pick 5 or fantasy 5 thats only $365 a year. Even if you lived another 80 years that would only be $29,200 spent over a lifetime. A jackpot on a pick 5 or fantasy 5 would easily be 6 figures if you hit it once

Mega Millions jackpot closes in on $1 billion
I'd tell you NO!
That's because I abandoned MM for PB a long time ago due to the fact that PB's odds were lower. (Not sure if that's still true after the last change to MM) Call me a creature of habit, but after I abandoned MM I simply stuck with PB and completely ignored MM. The other thing for me personally is that I'm trying for a second place win no matter what the advertised jackpot may be. When I buy a ticket I typically don't know (nor do I care) what the jackpot amount is.
I do

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Hmm, peculiar...
When Powerball recently went beyond the Billion Dollar Barrier, it gave Mega Millions a Boost.
Now, Mega Millions is set to finally break the Billion Dollar Barrier, there's no Powerball Boost.
IMO, seems players had money to spend on Powerball and maybe chip in a few for Mega Millions.
But, now have barely enough to spend on Mega Millions and have to cut back on their Powerball plays.
We can see this in the graph below.

would you borrow money to play the lottery?
I cannot vote on this one.
From a doing something stupid point of view, yes. I have had plenty of money, stupidly left it in yesterday's pants and so borrowed $20 from a friend or coworker for lunch and whatever else I wanted that day including lottery tickets. The friend knew that the $20 would return the next day. No problem. I have loaned $20 the same way for friends who did the same stupid thing I had done and may have also wanted tickets too. I knew the $20 would return the next day. No
