Thanks Nana... Yeah, I'm headed back to The Salt Mines today. It'll be good to get back to work, as CRAZY as THAT sounds. The job I have is a retirement job, so there isnt a ton of pressure, the people there are all good folks and I whip 'em to a frenzy when either PB or MM gets big cuz I run the office pool. What are the chances that a person be at the right place at the right time to win a jackpot?Reply
If there was a pool option on the play slip for an extra couple bucks it would not affect the advertised jackpot amount AND those who dont like the idea of sharing just wont check the box and pay the extra bucks. If they win they get the whole jckpot and the pool option has no effect on them whatsoever.

If the bonus number was picked from its own pool I would consider it separately as if it was another drawing. Years ago Ohio had a game Super Lotto Plus which was a 6/49 +1 game and the bonus number was the seventh number picked from the pool of 49 which wouldn't change anything. The jackpot winner only had to match the first six numbers drawn, the bonus numbers were used for lower tier prizes.

There could be a pool involved, and the group as a whole may be getting legal counsel, as well as each individually. But now that I think about it, if it was a pool someone likely would have squeaked by now.
