Passive mugging
While it is the clerk's responsibility to conduct their business professionally and honestly, when it comes to money, any of them can quickly spot an easy customer to bump. In my opinion, it's more the player's responsibility to understand all the details, full and well, regarding the games they play. To buy scratch-off and not be able to properly interpret whether they have a winner of any amount or not, is a very poor financial act to me. That may sound harsh but, when I spend my money on some

Replay/2nd chance drawings for scratchers
California has 2nd chance drawings for scratchers. For example, with a scratcher game with the top prize of $100,000, they'll have a drawing for an identical prize. All you have to do to enter is input the unique code from your losing scratcher Do other states have these as well? Anyone here ever win or know someone who's won a second chance drawing? Also, what do you guys think of taking losing tickets out of the trash and using them to enter these drawings? My local grocery store has

The regret of not buying the megaplier..
Somehow, I think the preveiling thought when you hit the second prize would to be to get upset that you didn't hit the jackpot, there was just one more number, rather then being upset that you didn't get multiplier. Also, if you are getting QP, the machine might be producing different numbers for those with multiplier and not, since you don't know the algorithm of its randomness. When I get multiplier and don't win (and I never won anything with multiplier) I get upset that I dind't b

Sorry to hear about the bee sting! ouch :( I had no idea that you could replay a ticket at the vending machine! What else am I missing at the vending machine? hmm.... I'll be taking a closer look. I bought a quick-pick for Wild Card at the vending machine yesterday, and one today, but I tend to use the ones at Albertsons. Never have had a problem there. Good luck to you too!

I was just going to replay a ticket using the vending machine, but the bar code scanner wasn't working. I swear every time I go in either that scanner doesn't work or the play slip reader is broken, or they're out of paper to print tickets or SOMETHING. When the line at CS is short I'll go over there and tell them about the machine, but it doesn't seem to get fixed anyway so not worth waiting in line to do. My money was already in when I discovered it didn't work, so I was forced to buy a scr

HoLeeKau! Long time, no see. You have a lot of patience to buy tickets at Fred Meyer. There is always a line at Customer Service, anytime I'm there. I wish we could punch in our own numbers on a machine and that machine could just spit out a ticket for us. Is that too much to ask, dear Lottery Commission? I also wish we could purchase tickets online, like some states offer.

Post your scratch ticket results
I was all happy to post my $250 on a $5 ticket.. snip nice hit. That's freakin awesome!!!You seem to have all the luck or spending $100K a month :) glad to see a high spender recoup some of the money. No offense to the nickel and dime players. PA seems to be pretty dead. I was happy to see the $250 but havent seen much else. Like tonight. I stop at a machine at Wawa. I plan to mix it up, but I get Winner Take All on 028, so I have to buy the last 2 and 20X on 056, so i buy the last 4 to end the

are clerks supposed to scan scratch tickets before you pay?
They don't scan the tickets in PA as you buy them. After you win on one, yes but for your state, I guess it's a way to keep track of the ticket count/sales by machine rather than by writing beginning/end numbers after a shift. They can just run a sales report to see exactly what type and how many were sold. You can always ask them too.

watch out for NYS retailers Some are scamming you big time
Buddy, I'm so glad you posted this whole thing the way you did. I especially like how you described the types of people that they targeted and THE NOISE THE MACHINE MAKES. These really are naive people, people that trusted him, people that really didn't understand the game they played, people too lazy to validate and check their own tickets. These are all PRIME PICKS and I've discussed this type of people many times recently. When a player walks into a store with a ticket of any kind, they're su

PowerBall finally may has the edge it's been seeking
Not sure why, but its not unusual for me to get close even with only one or two lines. The first time I ever played lotto I got the first 4 out of 5 numbers and threw the ticket away thinking I needed all 5. (I was 19 years old at the time) I bought a single MM QP line the other day looking for elimination numbers and matched 2. lol. It can happen to me with slot machines at times also. I played one time EVER at the Vegas airport. Walked over with $20. in my hand and picked a quarter machi
