South Carolina woman to stop "fussing" at her husband's lottery hobby after he wins $200,000
* Congratulations. On a side note.. * Watched an episode of American Greed last night it featured Eddie Tipton he's shenanigans. Pretty insightful. Along with Eddie was a piece on a character named Art Schlichter, the guy had a professional career in football, 1st round pick, but had a gambling addiction that resulted in him losing his family having legal problems for decades. His wife fussed for good reason.

I want help with Atlantic 49?
You start too many threads complaining how hard it is to win the lottery. It's supposed to be hard, by design. If it bothers you that much you should stop playing. The lottery is supposed to be a fun diversion, not a source of stress. If you feel a compulsion to play and are getting upset when you don't win, then you might have gambling addiction.

California Lottery confirms homeless man as winner of $1 million scratch-off prize
I wish the guy the best of luck also but without counseling, he may fall into a dangerous lifestyle. Homeless people are a lot different than 20 or 30 years ago with the massive fentanyl addictions. I have volunteered in homeless shelters on occasion and years ago it was sometimes due to people simply down on their luck with no support system. That reason is uncommon now. And a lot of people experience downturns in life and do not turn to drugs or alcohol. No one should accept that as a coping s

Vermont legislators push bill to end Vermont Lottery and sports betting
First state to potentially fold on the lottery By Kate Northrop Three Vermont lawmakers proposed a one-page bill that would repeal both the Vermont Lottery and sports betting last month. Vermont could become the first state in the nation to repeal its lottery if House Bill H.133 passes. The passing of the bill, co-sponsored by Representative Tom Stevens, Representative Michael Mrowicki, and Representative Troy Headrick, would mean that legal gaming would essentially come to an en

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
CAPE ......... Madness .... easy come easy go ..... doubt if FlLot will come up a similar $10 ticket - their ROI with the $50 tix is very very high ...... and you know this, it's all about getting money from your wallet into their wallet , occasionally tossing out a filet mignon or lobster tail to make us salivate and keep begging...... It'll be the next one ... and so it goes. Seriously, it can become very addictive and cause some to have finance problems ....... as in not having money to pay y

NY Dream Team 2024
I didn't play for a full week once this summer...I noticed a change in my overall demeanor. Like I really was a happier person not doing this, but I got the addiction gene passed down to me so didn't take During that week i realized how often i was checking this site and thinking about what to play. So all that energy and anxiety was erased for that 1 week and i was a much happier person. So I'm a broken robot and went back to playing regularly... it's infinite sadness this ny numbers.

Colorado bill would ban credit card lottery ticket purchases and online sales
Lottery couriers nearly caught in the crossfire By Kate Northrop Colorado legislators have introduced a bill that would roll back credit card purchases for lottery tickets and ban direct online ticket sales. Some lawmakers in Colorado are not happy with the Colorado Lottery's unilateral decision to approve credit card purchases and direct online ticket sales, which the Colorado Lottery Commission approved in a meeting in November 2025. At the time the Lottery voted in favor of th

Texas Lottery
The usual argument that it preys on poor people and disadvantaged people ( which I don't subscribe to) Self control is a hard thing, that is why people struggle with addiction. Some people (I won't classify them as poor) don't look at the lottery as a form of entertainment, they see it as a one way ticket out of their financial misery and the odds of winning do not register in their minds. Alcohol, smoking, drugs etc all prey on people, some suffer more than others. It's hard to
