South Dakota trust claims $78 million Lotto Texas jackpot days before it expires
I thought Trusts were not allowed? Last time I checked it had to be a natural person and not an entity even if anonymous.
The state of the win controls so they now allowed a trust from the home of the winner for a second time. This does create an extra layer of anonymity. Interesting. I am wondering if other anonymous states would allow this as well.
This is a new strategy to me.

Secrets of a lottery lawyer-Kurt Panouses interview
In the video I watched, this guy gave a couple examples of how he was able to find a way for his client to claim anonymously in states that were not anonymous. In one state he said he studied the wording of the law and worked with the state Attorney General who agreed with his interpretation. I guess I'd have to get a signed agreement that he can do that in Idaho, and if not, I owe him only a few hundred bucks for his time investigating it.

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Does anybody know if any of the top prize winners of a million dollars in the current raffle will be able to remain anonymous?
I won 40 bucks yesterday. I'm going to spend it on two millionaire raffle tickets. If I was ever so lucky to win one of the top prizes, I'd want to claim it anonymously, but I'm not sure that can happen.
For Florida draw games (Lotto, PB, MM Fantasy5) only winners names of the top prize (a jackpot win) appear in The Top Prize Winners and Retailers Report publishe

Secrets of a lottery lawyer-Kurt Panouses interview
If I lived in a non anonymous state like California, I would still very minimally check with a lottery attorney to see if I missed anything even if I was 99.9 % certain of the answer.
After that, yea just a tax attorney and financial expert. I would bring them with me to claim just to take the photo focus off of one person. But I am overly cautious.

Paying more money will not guarantee you anonymity. It sounds like Duke consulted honest attorneys.
A good and experienced attorneys will ask about other options and if the lottery officials states we are a full disclosure and non anonymous lottery, you are out of luck.

The 15 anonymous winners who have come forward so far have disclosed a variety of ways they plan on using the winnings, from buying a home to paying off debts to covering medical expenses.
Does a winner have to tell the Jersey lottery their particular story or plans for the using the money when claiming a big prize?
If I was ever so lucky, they wouldn't get much out of me should they be brazen enough to ask me my story. It'd be nothing but one word answers from me. Hell, I might even t
