The KY PB winner’s name DID go public.
Previously, I said that the woman from Kentucky who won the Powerball in July was anonymous. At first, I thought that the woman was anonymous, but I was wrong. Anonymous / Non anonymous states
Here's an idea, let any non anonymous state offer two jackpot games, same game, same odds but make one game have an anonymous jackpot and the other game not anonymous. See which one gets played more. There a marketing test for you, lottery directors.

As I've said in the past, anonymous in the lottery isn't really anonymous. The anonymous information is only limited to the lottery. People will still find out about it, especially the people you know. A person doesn't win the lottery and live exactly the same way they did before they won it. The advantage of being anonymous isn't being able to get away from the people you do know, but the people you don't know.

The woman who won the $13.5 million powerball jackpot in Kentucky two weeks ago wishes to remain anonymous. I thought Delaware was the only state in which someone could remain anonymous without forming a trust, but apparantly, some states will make exceptions.

ANONYMOUS WINNERSI was wondering about the option of remaining anonymous after a win. Is this right part of the individual state's game laws or is it part of a state's right to privacy law?
