US Powerball multi-state lottery game expanding to the UK
Right? I was thinking of this. Americans cannot participate any other foreign countries lottery games unless they are visiting the country . Will we be able to play the UK's National lottery ? Or Canada's Lotto Max? Or Australia's Powerball ? No. We can't even nationally play a lottery game through an app like they can with the Euromillions. It seems the Powerball keeps chasing growth despite a of ticket sales. Instead of asking why ticket sales are declining they think price increase or mo

Impact of "Free Money" on Lottery Spending
I think it's worse than just gasoline. Higher diesel prices affect the cost of everything you buy. Unlike food (for everyone) and housing (if you rent, and there's property taxes if you own), much of America's gasoline consumption is optional. Biking and public transportation (which I use) use none, and small cars use less than big cars. When I was a kid in the 80's, everyone drove small cars and no one whined about it. Yesterday I bought four Millionaire for Life tickets. Rather than 4

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I think what winoneday meant was that it was bad luck for the house. In the long run, the average jackpot won will equal the expected value. In a game like this, a drawing every few days with odds of 1 in 300 million, the long run could be many years. In a short period of time, the players can be lucky which means the house (MUSL) is unlucky. Unlike other games like pick 3 or any table game or slot machine in a casino, where more jackpots are good for business because the long run for th

Secrets of a lottery lawyer-Kurt Panouses interview
That explains him blaming lottery officials for his being a poor lottery player. You don't know that there's no such thing as a poor Lottery player ? Or even a good one for that matter? Even Kurt Panouses said in one of those BW videos that his clients all have one big thing in common - They're all very LUCKY I've got some trouble with something else you revealed about yourself in a different LP thread. You said you liked Florida's Governor. That's all well and good, but you're also ti

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
I'm thinking about buying more tickets, but the big question for me is how many would I buy? I posted above that I won 40 bucks (cash) and I did buy one ticket with that money. I still have the other twenty dollar bill in my wallet, so maybe I'll buy another ticket with that. For now I'm keeping my eye on the raffle just to see what happens. Sales have been slow... about 3600 a day, so if they remain slow that'll have some bearing on whether or not I'll buy more. I'm a fan of raffles..

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Wanted to update/correct my previous figures, as for some reason I thought there were only three interim prize periods, and there are actually four. Bottom line, 640,900 tickets need to be sold to fund all prizes to be awarded in the Raffle (interim prizes and Grand Prizes.) The duration of the raffle is 122 days, so sales need to average 5,245 tix a day. Based on the Lottery's figure of 169,906 tix sold as of 4/17 , sales are averaging 3,540 tix/day so far. Hard to say if sales will pick up or

Michigan woman who played Lotto 47 since it launched decades ago wins $1.1 million jackpot
I called a few family members and my neighbor to tell them the big news. They say don't tell anyone if you win, but am sure the neighbor has to be a close friend, because they even told them the local store sold a winning ticket. Congratulations on the win. Now all you people that say you only need one line, well, I guess I need to up my game. Went to the store to get my PB ticket for Saturday, tried as hard as I could, but the only words that left my mouth were I will get one P

US Powerball multi-state lottery game expanding to the UK
This is my suspicion if Powerball picks uk just like chess game mega millions will pick Canada and then Powerball will respond pick Australia and mega millions will respond pick Puerto Rico lol Ha! I love the way you're thinking you ve turned lottery expansion into a full-blown global chess match . Let s play it out: 1. Powerball makes the first move: UK 2. Mega Millions counters with: Canada logical, close, and steals some of Powerball s thunder. 3. Powerball respon
