Issue affects every ticket sold
By Kate Northrop
The Hoosier Lottery suspended sales for its newest Fast Play game after players called in to report that their winning tickets were unable to be validated.
On the morning of the launch of Indiana's newest Fast Play game, $20 Golden Jackpot, players experienced a technical issue that prevented their supposedly winning tickets from being validated.
According to the Lottery, callers were stating that they matched all three numbers i

Pennsylvania Lottery launches new Fast Play Games
The Pennsylvania Lottery today launched Fast Play, a new type of games offering players the chance to win prizes without scratching the ticket or waiting for a drawing.
Fast Play launch is a milestone in the evolution of the Pennsylvania Lottery, said Executive Director Drew Svitko, noting that this is the Lottery's first entirely new game category introduced since scratch-off tickets premiered in 1975. The first draw game went on sale in March of 1972.

New Jersey Lottery suspends Fast Play sales due to software issue
No definite timeline for sales to start again
By Kate Northrop
The New Jersey Lottery announced last night that ticket sales for the Fast Play family of games was suspended due to a vendor software issue.
Tickets for Fast Play are printed by Lottery terminals and are also available at self-service vending machines. When a player buys a Fast Play ticket, it immediately informs whether they won.
Upon discovery of the problem, the Lottery immediately halted ticket sales. The suspension

I stumbled across a betting technique that's put a smile on my face but not in the way you'd expect. Might be a fluke, but I thought I'd pass it along here in case somebody else wants to try it. Find one of the full service lottery vending machines that prints out Fast Play and draw game tickets. You'll want something in a not-too-busy store because you'll be on the machine for a couple minutes.
I fill out my betting slips in advance and put a couple dollars more in the machine than the bet

Arizona Lottery bans Fast Play bulk ticket purchases
AZ has no rules to prevent a buyout of the Pick6 or Fantasy5 AZ lotteries, where the jackpot estimate is published.
Only a few Fast Play games have progressive jackpots, and in those games, the jackpots aren't published (at least, they don't show up on the arizonalottery.com website) , and play numbers/symbols are machine chosen and not player chosen.
Since Fast Play buyouts only make sense when the jackpot estimate is known, and when the number of tickets purchased give a high enough e

CT Lottery app mistakenly identified winning tickets as losers
PA Fast Play (NJ is likely similar) is basically an electronic instant ticket. It appears, at least in PA, Fast Play tickets are divided into blocks (akin to packs) of 1,000. When one buys a Fast Play ticket, the order of winners and losers has already been determined, just like playing instant tickets. The difference is the print on demand part, and that others elsewhere can buy from the same block; one may be able to game that a little during slow sales periods (ie. late at night).

Arizona Lottery bans Fast Play bulk ticket purchases
Lottery will not pay out prizes to players engaging in excessive purchasing
By Kate Northrop
The Arizona Lottery approved a rule amendment banning bulk Fast Play ticket purchases in an effort to curb excessive purchasing in a given timeframe.
In June, the Arizona Lottery Commission announced that it implemented new rules to limit the value of Fast Play tickets either an individual or group can buy within a certain period of time.
The rule, titled Prohibition of Bulk Ticket Purch

Lottery Complaint Investigators don't investigate anything
Buying any type of instant lottery game (ie. EZ Match, Fast Play, etc), in which the play area is fully visible, from a retailer is very risky. Always buy such tickets from a machine or subscription.
Pennsylvania Lottery introduced Fast Play several months ago so I gave it a try. Usually I play at self-service machines, but also bought some from some small mom pop convenience stores. In some of those instances, it was clear the retailer was looking at the tickets. Fortunately, in my case, I w
