Was looking at Powerball's site and noticed the breakdown of winners and power play winners. Looks like about 80% of players don't choose the multiplier. So, MM's goal was to force 80% of the their players to take the Extra $3.00 Multiplier. Meanwhile, Powerball gets to $1 Billion Plus with $2.00 the Optional $1.00 Multiplier.

Our pool has tickets for tomorrow's Mega Millions draw. One ticket has a 4 times multiplier and one ticket has a 3 times multiplier. I hope one of the those tickets wins something. Good luck to everyone who is playing.

The MM multiplier is drawn by the terminal when you buy your ticket. All the multipliers are the same when you buy a multi-line ticket, but you can get a different multiplier for the same drawing if you buy a separate ticket.

We have our pool tickets for tonight's draw. The best we did was a 3 times multiplier. I think this is the first time we did not have at least a 4 times multiplier. Good luck to everyone that is playing tonight.

Our pool won $10 in the last draw. We have our tickets for tomorrow and the biggest multiplier is 3 times. Have not seen a 10 times multiplier in a while. Good luck to everyone that is playing.

Well, in Idaho PB is $3 per line. They started bundling the multiplier for your convenience a few years ago.

Under the current structure where the multiplier ranges from 2 to 10, the average is 3. So if 3 were the minimum, then 3 would also have to be the maximum. I do think it would be better to have fixed non-jackpot prizes instead of a random multiplier you have to pay for.
