When to enter second chance drawings
Several times a year, the Florida Lottery offers a second chance promotion where you can enter your losing tickets in several entry window periods for a chance to win some cash prizes during those various period/drawings. For example, they are allowing people to enter losing tickets in their newly released Gold Rush scratch-off games for a chance at $1k, $10k and $25k prizes in four separate drawings. The window to enter tickets for each drawing is approximately 2-3 weeks. Like most of us, I hav

Second chance drawing winner question
I recently defied the odds and won $10k from a second chance drawing from a scratch off game and I need some help. My wife purchased the ticket and I registered it on the lottery website in my name. My wife actually signed the back of the ticket and put her info on it before I registered it online. Well, as I mentioned we won the $10k and now Im unsure how the lottery office is going to do this when we go to claim the prize?? Are they going make me claim it or will they just let my wife claim it

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Yes I save all of my scratchers for tax purposes and also to use in second chance drawings. I have never won anything in a second chance drawing, but might some day. Next week is the last drawing for the Gold Rush second chance and I have over 700 entries, thanks to all of the losing tickets they have been flooding the state with. Would be nice to get lucky and win one for a change.

Florida Second Chance Drawings - Cash Mine
The first Cash Mine second chance drawing is tomorrow. I have 922 entries in the first drawing, thanks to all of the losing $20 Gold Rush scratchers I encountered last year. Fortunately I save all losing scratchers for a year. I am sure many of you have just as many entered. Good luck to all of us.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
I entered 66 losing $20 Gold Rush scratchers into the Second Chance site last night. 66 scratchers = 1,320 entries into the drawing. I hope I win something this time. I have never won anything in a Second Chance drawing before, but have never had this many losing scratchers to enter either. I am glad I saved all the losers this year.

You Found Some Lottery Tickets - Now What?
There was a clerk at the store I buy my tickets from who told me about how he fished scratch off tickets out of the trash and sent them in for a second chance drawing and ended up winning one of the prize packages. If I found second chance drawing tickets, I'd send them in too.

Money, Money, Money and no Honey
Before I buy any scratch cards, I check with the state lottery site to see how many of the top prizes are left for that particular game. If one or all the jackpot prizes have been won, then your chances of winning are zero and I won't even buy the card. I'll only play a scratch card if 50% or more of the top prizes remain in a drawing.
Colorado also has a 'second chance' drawing which is usually equal to the top prize in the scratch cards. You can enter your losing cards in to a drawing set b

Unemployed woman gets lotto winnings after 4 years
She lost 4 years ago on a scratch off. The game had a second chance drawing, so she filled out the ticket and mailed it in to be entered into a drawing. So, 4 years later after all the scratch offs had been sold, they drew the winning ticket for a $1 million second chance prize, and she won.

Tips for winning
The only scratch offs I play are the ones that have a second chance drawing. That way even if I lose, I still have another chance. The best I've done on one of those is I won $100 on the second chance drawing, and that was the old Powerball game show ticket.
