Oregon lottery kept my $1500 winning ticket
Hi my name is Howard Drummond. A few months ago I won a jackpot at Jake's tavern on se Milwaukee Ave in Portland Oregon. I won it on the second machine from the door on a game called huff n puff during the bonus it gave me the major jackpot it payed $1500 and printed out a ticket right away. On The Florida Lottery's website I found a way to submit a question to them via email. Yes that's the convo @playslips. He didn't fiscally get the ticket. He got the credit for the ticket. The machine was printing his tickets still when i scanned my voucher. I did not know there was tickets still printing till after i scanned my voucher then when the machine beeped he then blurted i got money in there. Whenever I go onto a retailer buy lottery or whatever .If I see a ticket that someone didn't purchase on the machine,I always ask is it for sale and if so I'll buy..I just did that a couple of days ago on a Powerball ticket.. You can walk into a casino and cash your lottery ticket, but you can't walk into a lottery retailer, cash your lottery ticket and play a slot machine in the back. Probably because the casinos want you to cash your lottery ticket and hit their slots instead.

I washed my wallet once and tried drying everything out on paper towels in the microwave. It worked well except for my lottery ticket. It started to burn up the bar code and ticket serial numbers. I took it back to the store and told them what happened. They were able to type enough of the bar code/serial numbers into the lottery machine to cash it. Got my $80.

I'm curious. I had a voucher I checked in the scanner. It said see cashier or whatever it says I can't remember. I went to another store to cash it and it would not let me. Long story short I was at a store waiting at a kiosk. And some idiot was buying racetrack tickets. Soon as I walked up to the machine he says I got money in there. Which he didn't. I am not surprised by this functionality per se - I once had an issue with a ticket at a self-service machine - it probably ran out of paper (or the printer malfunctioned), but - long story short - the store manager was able to reprint the failed ticket. I don't remember exact details, but I am not surprised this functionality exists for this exact reason. She will be calling the lottery commission today, just wanted to double check we are not missing something here. And no,
