How would you feel if this happened to you? Read my story.
This happened to me the other day (about 3 draw ago)when I was playing Mega Millions in Ohio on the Ohio Turnpike. I stopped at a service plaza to buy some tickets. Instead of going to a store clerk, I went to a lotto machine to get my tickets. I usually test the machine to see if it will take a play slip because of problems in the past with lotto machines. Was at Publix this morning and bought ONE GRD loser from the machine - an elderly woman was watching me .. and asked with a deep foreign accent is it luckier to buy from the machine or a quick pick ? I explained that quick pick was for different games not for scratchoffs - she said when she bought her ticket a few minutes ago she told the clerk to pick a 10 dollar ticket for her - he did it quickly and I thought it was a quick pick ...

This actually happened to me when I bought my ticket in a machine and the machine cut it too early so what i did was buy the next ticket and the next until the machine corrected itself which it did. Needless to say none were winners anyway. But machine do make mistakes.

I do not buy scratch off's from a vending machine. I like to see the number of the ticket Im buying. I also wouldn't like if the ticket got stuck in the machine.....

OH truly I mean people can screw up butter on toast so a playslip is not far from that since all they have to do is run it thru the machine and the ticket prints out...well here they dont even have to push a button if you have a playslip, they just run it thru and the machine spits out your ticket

Nice win. I am unable to see it though. This ticket caught my eye at the machine. Got the last (2) Instant Millions from counter and put $5 in the machine. It just felt right. ticket 000. $45 in and yet to scratch the rest, so it seems we might have both hit a decent PA day....

I believe him... Its happened to me on more than one occasion in Illinois. I've scanned a ticket, and it seems like if you scan your next ticket before the machine clears out, it can give you an error, or say sorry not a winner , than if you rescan, low-and-behold, you may have had a winner.... I kind of think that is why so much prize money goes unclaimed, because throw away their winning tickets after the machine tells them that its sorry, not a winner ...

In my state, the machine that sells scratch and online games are two separate machines. So, what would happen if I put the money inside the online game and the machine runs out of paper? Can I get my money back? I can't use the money to buy scratch ticket since the machine that sells scratch ticket is a separate machine.

Yeah I always double check my tickets, and I would advise NOT to use the self ticket scanners to see if ya won (at least not in michigan). Matched the mega ball on a ticket so I scanned it to see if thats all I won. I actually won $10 but the machine kept telling me not a winner, scanned it 4 or 5 times. Took it over to the clerk and he scanned it on the lotto machine and what do ya know , a $10 dollar winner. I was pissed to say the least.
