Since I also feel we'll see an even digit in p3, I'm going to elect to use the pair-focused strategy and turn the paris around to increase my chances of a straight hit. If digit 4 comes in, I'll have a good chance, though I will also be boxing the plays .... Of course, if digit 4 does not come, then I lose. 04, 46, 47 and 49 I also feel that we'll most likely see numbers in the HLL category. One betting strategy here might be to just wheel the pairs with all digits and reduce the field

Just to note, I play only doubles (....well 99% of the time), I play only straight, which means I play 6-way for full coverage. I play in the state where I'm expecting a double to drop. Very true. However, as more lotteries join, the odds of a jackpot split will increase. Main reason I raise the issue is to illustrate there's a flaw in the game, which is counter-intuitive - the more who play, worse the payouts potentially get. Generally not what one expects for a multi-jurisdictional game. Many players assume such games are well researched, simulated, etc prior to release. Steve Take the last 30 draws for all pick-3 games and then count the number of times each digit pair shows. Next select the top 10 hitting pairs. Hans has posted 10 pairs of digits which seem to have a better than average hit rate for my p-3 games. I can't say how they are doing in other states but a few have reported several hits in other states. I am just trying to establish a base line of sorts so that I have something to compare.
