Ohio lottery winner to help charities, friends
Includes video report
An Ohio man won $5 million in the Ohio Lottery Tuesday, but even though he's dependent on kidney dialysis, he says he plans on helping friends and charities with financial gifts.
Phillip Withem, of Logan, won the second chance drawing called the Top Prized Drawing.
In 2006, Withem turned a $20 instant lottery ticket into $2,500. Then, he won another drawing out of 86 entrants. He said the fact that he is now a millionaire hasn't sunk in yet.

$9.6M Washington Lotto jackpot claimed
State's 3rd-biggest Lotto jackpot
Deborah Harden hasn't slept well over the last week for a number of reasons: 4.8 million of them.
The 60-year-old Pasco woman, a department store buyer, is Washington's latest lottery millionaire.
She, her husband, Jim, and family members came forward Tuesday at the lottery's regional office in Yakima, collecting a one-time payment of $4.8 million, less withholding, for the April 4 Lotto jackpot of $9.6 million.
They opted for the one-time payment ra

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
Morning Josephus,
I try to just put on here some of the things i have seen from working on it. Not about to put all of it for sure. I do use a little math, because it's numbers. Ya kinda have to there lol. Removing the guesswork for the most part is possible, i believe. Maybe all of it with enough time put into it. I had gotten behind on updating everything that i was working on, because of work, so it will take some time to get it caught up. But when i do we'll see what can be done.

Let this be a lesson for you!
I've got to admit, I'm hooked on the
lottery. It's impossible, not to play.
My goal is to win very big, so I can
retire in a spectacular way. I've tried
to give it up, many times. Each time
I realized, it would be a crime. What
if by chance, I didn't play and the
numbers that came in, were mine.
It would be a total disaster, after I
had played, all these years. Instantly
I'd be a basket case, I'd shed a
million tears. Whether you win, or
whether you lose, it's

Lottery winners get their checks, keep working at plant
A year ago, William Shanteau and his 13 co-workers at a Detroit auto plant were worried their jobs could be gone at any moment.
Now they're all millionaires after winning a share of last week's $96.9 million Powerball drawing.
Most of the group from the paint shop at a Chrysler plant that makes Jeep Grand Cherokees plans to keep working, Shanteau said Thursday after working a 12-hour shift.
It's like family, he said, adding that at least two of the jackpot winners plan to retire, and h

It's a slow day in a little East Texas town. The sun is beating down, and the streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit........
On this particular day a rich tourist from back east is driving through town. He stops at the motel and lays a $100 bill on the desk saying he wants to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one to spend the night.
As soon as the man wa

How lucky have you been with scratch offs?
JJ928 -
Sounds like you had a blast there for awhile.
I sure hope someone turns your fun valve back on because it sure is fun to win.
Control is key. As long as you win, what's the harm in buying some more?
It's when the dry spell hits that things could go sour mighty fast.
PA introduced its first $25.00 ticket awhile back. A flashy ticket. The $25.00 price
tag was shocking. I thought, the nerve - those crooks. Sure, I bought a few. The most I won
on those was $500 and

Devil's Advocate Mode - Foreign Lottery Scams.
I have no doubt that there are a number of foreign lottery scams going on right now. But, I also have no doubt that there are a number of legitimate foreign lotteries. Years ago, my ex and I played the Gold Coast Lottery out of Australia (Queensland) by mail. We didn't win so much money we could retire (grin), but we DID win a few times. One check I got was big enough to pay a monthly electric bill ... and one check my ex got was big enough to buy two weeks worth of groceries. The only mailings

Correlation btwn Lotto Players and Gambling in General
In the casino business degenerate gambler is indeed the word used to describe some gamblers- a degenrate gambler is one who now only lives to make the next bet, all their interests have degenrated into no other interest than gambling.
A degenerate is a gambler who has to be in action , that is has to have money riding on the outcome of an event, whether it be a hand of cards, roll of the dice, spin of the ropulette wheel, final score of a ball game, results of a horse race, etc...but they hav
