Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
I have a question regarding the ILR and the Florida Lottery s posted odds that I m hoping you guys can help me understand. For the most part, the Lottery s posted odds are in line with the ILR and Emergency Rule; however, one game I ve had my eye on is Game #1340: LOTERIA the older, red version because prior to the newer version s release, the sell-thru on this game was tremendous and the amount of top prizes still remaining made it a good bet at only $2/ticket. My question is, if there are 30 t

Bill to allow lottery winners to remain anonymous passes Virginia Senate
They need to release the winners names because the State or their own workers might start crooking the system.
It's theoretically possible, but conspiracies of that sort rarely happen outside of the movies. Even with lousy security protocols of the sort that let Eddie Tipton scam the lottery pretending there was a winner when there really wasn't would have to involve several people. Besides everybody keeping the secret, simply sharing the money would create a risk of exposure. Somebody has

Investigation finds lottery scamming Tipton brothers have repaid virtually nothing
By Jason Clayworth and Rachel Denny Clow
Two brothers who spearheaded the biggest lottery scam in U.S. history have repaid less than $1,400 in restitution despite owning property worth nearly $2 million, a Des Moines Register and Corpus Christi Caller Times investigation has found.
Between them, Eddie and Tommy Tipton have admitted rigging winning drawings in at least five states, including Iowa, worth a combined $24 million.
But they have barely made a dent in the more than $2.4 millio

US woman convicted in Jamaican lottery scam to remain jailed
It's very sad to hear an elderly person lost enough money to drive him or her to suicide. This is from the US DOJ press release on the case:
Top Jamaican law enforcement officials emphasize that lottery scamming has directly led to a dramatic increase in violent crime including murder, shootings, and extortion - in Jamaica, as rival scammers battle one another over the names of potential victims and profits.
Speaking of scams, has anyone else been getting the new scam calls from peopl

Mega Millions sets world record with $1.6 billion lottery jackpot for Tuesday drawing
Ohio tickets purchased. Broke my cardinal rule and did not do Powerplay or Megaplier. Not a bad day went to two casinos with $300 and came home with $450 which included the $40 for lotto tickets.
The only real concern is with the MA Season Ticket. Wonder if it can be claimed through a trust? That would be all anyone would need to have their name plastered all over the place. Best of my knowledge and one case comes to mind that they wait for the photo-op on Season ticket winners then release t

let me also say this, that 799 798 are very prominent on the radar but since the cousin number of 799 was drawn on September 12 night, it is very unlikely tha

Thanks to $325,000 lottery win, couple will replace home lost in Hurricane Irma
A couple who lost their home to Hurricane Irma in the U.S. Virgin Islands say they will be able to rebuild their lives after winning a $325,000 prize on a $1 North Carolina lottery ticket.
After the hurricane devastated the U.S. Virgin Islands on Sept. 6, 2017, Patricia and Frank Raffa moved in with their daughter in Arden, North Carolina. The category 5 hurricane was one of the most powerful Atlantic storms in a century, CNBC reported.
We lost everything, Frank Raffa told NC lottery offi

Kentucky Lottery offers new "1-off" wagering options
I'm not sure what to say, other than the Kentucky Lottery is putting out mixed signals about availability then. I am holding a press release with today's date (Aug. 6) that states Several enhancements are taking place today for popular Kentucky Lottery draw games, and then goes on to state the changes.
I really don't see it as a big deal either way, but I'm going with what I have, and if the Kentucky Lottery wishes, they can certainly comment here to clarify the situation.
The whole thing

Pennsylvania $457 million jackpot winners kept anonymous
This law firm definitely asserted the rights of trusts.
The trust has no rights that result in special treatment if the law or lottery regulations require disclosing the name of the actual person(s) who win. There are states that only permit actual persons to claim lottery prizes, but it may be that the PA lottery is only required to release the name of the winner, and as a valid legal entity a trust can be the winner. Why no previous winner has shielded their name by claiming as a trust is
