Hello lottohar, solft to the problem of the lottery, it's that lack a fixed reference, keep spinning in circles when it is to prevent,. Well, statistical analysis and has good solft on the net, now on The confidence to predict a draw, it is difficult, because the base of the lottery is 60% math and 40% random, like everything in life that this duality has solft that neither can predict 60%, an example of a lottery of 49 / 6 60% is to hit 3 to 4 the other two numbers are random, then you have to

Why Do Mathematicians Consider The Lottery Random
I agree withj most of what you're saying, but this statement isn't wrong, but it's definetly misleading.
As any repeated pattern of *chance events continues, it's reversal becomes progressuvely imminent.
The reason that it's misleading is because as long as their's no damage to the mechanism creating the random event, then the chances of black coming out after it's come out 10 times is still 18 in 38. The reason we don't see it happen 50 times in a row is because the odds

Why Do Mathematicians Consider The Lottery Random
Actually I have an easier way to describe this.
If you were to get every spin right, which is probably not going to happen (about a 1 in 1758 chance), on even money bets, you'd end up winning 100 dollars betting flat.
If I was to get 1 of the 10 spins right betting flat, which is more likely to occur than the event I descibed above - I'd end up winning 260 dollars.

Why Do Mathematicians Consider The Lottery Random
Ok. Hang on. You're completely misrepresenting what I said. I even DID say that it IS POSSIBLE - but that in my opinion it isn't true. I've said multiple times that every system I've seen tested has turned out to be false - and so I don't BELIEVE it's true. I've said that there is some small chance that we are wrong, Statistics and Probability as we know it today are wrong, but that the burden of proof is on YOU and other like minded people to prove it, because the laws of probability that peopl

Why Do Mathematicians Consider The Lottery Random
Sure humans can think abstractly, but don't mistake that for being able to predict events that have no relation to any other event, that's derived from something like ping pong balls floating around in a cylinder. As long as each ball has the same odds of showing up (they aren't tampered with) then it's completely random, you can't change your expected return, except for by picking a good assortment of numbers (non-sequential, some numbers above 31, etc.)
I actually usually get self pick

Why Do Mathematicians Consider The Lottery Random
What is random? Is it that which can't be predicted?
One of the definitions of random -
Governed by or involving equal chances for each item
But they way I'd put it, an event that CANNOT be reliably predicted.

Did Joan Ginther have a little help in her 4 lottery wins?
The Harpers article talks about ...how...she could have got inside info.
Nicholas Taleb talks about this phenomenon in Black Swan by pointing out that...
First, it [ a rare event] is an outlier, as it lies outside the realm of regular expectations, because nothing in the past can convincingly point to its possibility. Second, it carries an extreme impact. Third, in spite of its outlier status, human nature makes us concoct explanations for its occurrence after the fact, making it explain

Lottery Statistic Analyser 6 Released
Personally, I don't think $20 is a high risk purchase. All this arguing for nothing is not good for the soul.
Which brings up the idea. I'm always full of ideas. How about a Lotterypost Picnic ? A three day event at a neutral site. Maybe Tulsa Oklahoma. And whomever can make it would share ideas , have some barbeque and dance to a couple of bands. Sort of like a family reunion . And the ones that don't like each other can provide entertainment by wrestling in a mud pit. Sounds like fun t
