Jackpot winner dangers!
I also check them at home, but since I sometimes buy several dozen tickets for one draw, I'll use the machine to double check them (glad I do, I've missed one or two from time to time).
The self-serve machines I've seen don't show the amount you've won, they only say 'Congratulations! Winning Ticket' or 'Not a winner'.
You have to go to the counter to have an attendant check the amount.
And unfortunately, I've never won an amount that I would consider 'dangerous'.

Ticket Issues
I agree with the scanner problems...combined with an idiot clerk. As was already said, the clerk can override the scanner and input the #'s manually.
The King Soopers where I purchase has had similar problems with the scanner. One time I had voided a box and it printed the ticket anyway. Other times it wouldn't read any of the #'s. The problems got so bad at one point that clerks got used to manually entering the #'s for everyone until they were able to get the machine fixed.
But at least

Lucky and unlucky Scratch-off ticket numbers
Hi, CarHauler - had a better day today. Keep playing smaller, and there's a good chance your luck will come around. Put in $23 and got $105 today.
#89 Sizzlin' Sevens won $100. My second $100 win on a $2 ticket. Got a 77 symbol, three $7 matches, and a $2 match. The three from the other machine lost, and by pure luck, I got one from the other machine before I left. That was the winner. Odds of winning $100 on the game are almost 1 in 3,000, so that was lucky.

Lucky and unlucky Scratch-off ticket numbers
I need Keystone! lol! Since when does a book of Treasure Hunt end with 056 I did the quick shot on the vending machine and it beeped
after 4 tickets shot out...I thought okay, that roll is done I'll just select another ticket...picked a Jingle thing and reached down, picked up
my tickets took note of the numbers and said: huh? Tickets 053, 054, 055, 056 were there and the light on the machine for that ticket stated:
OUT
If it was a malfunction, there would have been a red line throug

Texas Lottery Changes
It says on page 2 under the heading '10 Boards Per Ticket' this is ....for all transactions (manual entry and Quick Pick).
Further down in bold black it says:
** Playslips will not be modified.
Doubt you are going to find any retailer in the D/FW area who will sit around manually entering 10 sets of numbers unless they put a wheeling option on the machine.

Lucky and unlucky Scratch-off ticket numbers
I am glad that you did end up making some money today. I spent $50 on Jingle Jumbo Bucks. I very stupidly purchased another ticket, 026, after I the previous ticket, 027 won $25 yesterday. Shame on me. I guess that I still made $5 off those two tickets, so that is good. I lost on tickets 001, 000, 029 and 028 on this game at another retailer. I think I will go back and see if 027 is still there. Kings and Queens 031 and 030 both lost. My impression of that game is that it has fewer winners, but

Lucky and unlucky Scratch-off ticket numbers
I never, ever start by buying a bunch of $1 or $2 tickets. It is extremely unlikely that you will have another $100 winner on that. I start big, and work my way down, but whatever seems to be working for you is what I would do. If you keep track of the books, or at least the tickets position in the machine, you can help yourself quite a bit. I still think that there are winners at or near the end of the roll, but sometimes at the beginning. Usually there will be a smaller winner near the middle

Winning at Lotto : Luck vs. Intelligence
I believe everything that exists is the direct result of prior intelligence (a mind behind the creation).
On one side, we have the balls, the machine, the numbers on the balls, the person spinning the wheel, etc.
All are the result of prior intelligence.
On the other side, we have the lottery slip, the person (mind) filling in the bubbles, the ticket itself, the money for the ticket, etc.
Again, all are the result of prior intelligence.
Somewhere in betwee

Michigan gets second multi-state lottery winner in a week
I'm always amazed at the places that sale lottery tickets. I've yet to ever find a place other than a gas station (major ones, minus Flying J) that sales any kind of lottery ticket but on stories I've read delis, liquor stores, bars, grocery stores, restaurants and now a book store (if we can call those books) were all home to winners. If I ever find one of those places that sells PB/MM tickets I'm getting some, maybe it'll bring some luck. I do believe the grocery stores I go to sell scratch-of
